Wow. I’m legitimately surprised they gave LeBron anything. Good call on that, guys - thought no way he’d get one.

Despite what the announcers said, it was pretty clearly an intentional elbow. He immediately regretted it when he felt he made really solid contact with a face, but yeah, he was swinging it high.

I'm kinda surprised they didn't delay the rulings so Lebron could play at MSG.

Seems like if there's no blow-up afterwards then Bron might have just had to eat a fine.

Of course it was intentional. Doesn’t mean I’m not surprised he was suspended. It’s LeBron.

Did he hit him with the elbow? Is that what cut the eye, and then the fist came through and busted his lips? It didn't look like the elbow connected to me, but it would explain a lot.

Anyway this seems fine to me. You gotta discourage guys from turning into the Rhino, and the LeBron penalty is kind of a hedge due to the uncertainty; they split the difference between Totally Intentional and Reckless Frustration.

Very true.

There was no way they could get away with not giving Lebron at least one game, it's a flagrant 2 which was automatic ejection + the altercation.

Kings can't lose that game. What a mess of a franchise.

They have become so unwatchable if you had to watch you'd probably want to puke.

Guessing it was mentioned in the previous ATL thread, but in the event it wasn't, the Denver Post is reporting that Michael Porter may miss the rest of the season due to his back issues.

This was the risk in drafting him, and I don't see back issues ever disappearing. If he is perpetually injured it will quickly become one of the worst contracts in the NBA. I was shocked when I saw what they gave him.

Denver was my finals pick if they had all their main guys, they looked AWESOME when they had all of Jokic/Murray/Gordon/MPJ out there, though small sample size. Really sucks for them, though at least they have Jokic/Murray/Gordon locked in long term.

That MPJ deal though….oof

Look man, I thought MPJ was the space cadet version of John Collins and I am not a John Collins fan.

I loved Porter's potential but just like with Murray and Gordon, Denver's front office loves jumping the gun on these huge extensions. Remember they also had to unload Gary Harris' gross contract in that Gordon deal, and that Mason Plumlee extension when they already had Jokic....

Still one of the better FO's in the league, but they blew a lot of cap space to get where they are.
