I rip Harden all the time so I'll give him credit when he deserves it and he deserves it for last night's game. He was very good.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yep, he was actually attacking the hoop instead of trying to create contact.

Philly can be real dangerous if Harden can play well enough to take Embiid back to a sub 30 USG defender. Still want them in the East finals though.

Harden maybe had his best playoff 4th quarter ever last night, but we'll see if it was just a flash in the pan. He still doesn't have that same first-step and with Lowry cooked, Miami's back-court defense is actually pretty awful. They built a team this year for the purpose of slowing down Giannis, not slowing down a Harden/Embiid team.

Will anybody ever pay a one dimensional shooter ever again after Robinson and Bertans?

Agree with that being Harden's best playoff moment. If he carries it over the Heat are in troube as Embiid gets more comfortable (on the ground). I like Embiid but damn the dude falls to the floor like a sack of potatoes.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

I said it before the playoffs started, but Jokic winning the MVP over Embiid and Giannis is a real shame.

I get it, Murray missed the season, but Embiid played the whole year with the Simmons fiasco going on. Giannis won Finals MVP and came back this year even better.

The advanced stats nerds and the echo chamber they have created dropped the ball on this one.

Eh, you can make a case for any of the 3 but I don't think it's possible to drop the ball as long as you're choosing one of them. Dropping the ball is "Booker because BEST PLAYER ON BEST TEAM" or "Luka because TRIPLE-DOUBLES!"

If the Heat win it all this year, it is worth it. If not, heads should roll for their cap situation in a year or two.

Sorry, meant from a team salary perspective. Like the whole thing could be a disaster with Butler making $52.5m as a 36 year old....

The Embiid noise is annoying. If anyone should’ve won MVP over Jokic it should’ve been Giannis, but I’m cool with Jokic winning.

Embiid’s strongest case IMO is literally “he’s a fun player, we really like him and he hasn’t won it yet”. He straight up was not better than either of Jokic/Giannis this season.

We laugh about Duncan Robinson's contract, but that **** Pat Riley is gonna flip him and PJ's expiring contract for somebody who moves the needle. Some team is going to believe that they can use Robinson effectively to cure their shooting woes, and give up a piece because the NBA is stupid and our team didn't value salary slots and....

Yeah, teams are always gonna value shooting in this current era of 3PT basketball. Dumb organizations will still give out dumb contracts. I just hope that we're not one of them.

That's really sad. I remember him giving the Badgers a fit every time we played. He was very talented.

I can't care about who gets MVP, because the league has intentionally allowed the criteria to be ambiguous so that talking heads and dudes in bars perpetually have something to argue about. Its an intentional clusterf* and I am just not going to fall for it. I'll also say that letting writers vote on who gets it is going to forever create a significant group that is subtly trying to create a new story/new narrative as oppossed to just giving it to the obvious deserving guy every year (Jordan, Lebron, Giannis).

He might be playable against the Bucks. They certainly haven't done a very good job targeting weak defenders in the past. It's not even clear that they consider it a possible approach sometimes, like it would be ungentlemanly or something.
