Bucks Offseason Thread - Trade, news, re-tool discussion

Post#1 » by paulpressey25 » Thu Apr 27, 2023 5:14 am

Let’s start this one fresh and chuck the bad juju from the other one that was close to limiting out.

I’ll start. Giannis needs to begin the tamper with Dame.

The cupboard is bare and Giannis and Khris have chronic knee problems. Be thankful for the one.

Bring in the war criminal. I’ll take any potential regular season downgrade for the playoff upgrade.

Other GM's watched this series of course so what realistic trade value do our guys have?

Depressing to think we one a single playoff game, and it took a record 25 3s to do it.

I understand some people will defend Bud, but I think it’s just time to move on from him and his ideology.

We really need to find a 2nd fiddle to Giannis that isn’t going to shrink. Dame is obviously the dream scenario, but that would be a really hard trade to pull off.

Nick Nurse lol. I don’t approve of all his methods but I’ll take him any day over Bud.

Kawhi carried Nurse for a year and he got canned for a reason. Pass. Raptor fans feel the same we feel about Bud. Thanks for the championship but time to go.

Not sure if Nurse is the answer but maybe Giannis needs a hard ass. The Bucks need to be more ruthless.

I don’t think Nurse is the answer. No more re-treads.

We need a fresh, innovative style.

Jrue HAS to go. I’m gonna keep saying it.

Khris Will more than likely opt-in, but he will need his role reduced in the regular season — he’s a 16 game guy now.

Giannis will also need to be managed throughout the season.

My 2 favourite players together. Would be the wettest of wet dreams.

I do not like Jrue Holiday or Giannis bringing the ball up for us. What guards could we possibly get.

Lol fire Bud this weekend. Hire Nurse or literally anyone else with a pulse. For the third time in an epic playoff meltdown Bud didn’t let Giannis cover the other teams best player and Giannis confirms it postgame

I’m 100% for whatever needs to happen for Dame to play with Giannis in Milwaukee next season.

Please just do something. This team is old and slow. See what you get for Jrue and Midds and everyone else not named Giannis. Keep Brook.

This is going to be a great intellectual puzzle over the next two months. Jrue and Khris have legit value to contenders, but most of them have already blown their wad of first round picks on trade acquisitions.

Baller and the Clippers or Masai and the Raptors have some interesting guys.

If there are better options than Nurse I’m certainly open to it, I’d love to hear other names given what’s at stake.

Raptors fans are bat **** insane and I’m not putting too much weight on what they say tbqh. That roster this season was thin as hell, insanely top heavy and the top end talent isn’t even that good, and they played the majority of the season without a real center. Nurse has his warts for sure, I’m not saying he’d be a home run hire by any stretch but he’s an infinitely better game manager/in game tactician than Bud, who is truly one of the worst in that regard in the playoffs that I’ve ever seen among the coaches who are considered “good”.

Also, the Raptors the season after Kawhi bounced went 53-19 (60 win pace over 82 games) and were a couple bounces away from the ECF. I’m not buying the “Kawhi carried him” narrative at all.
