Continuation from the old thread - A college roommate of mine was a bartender at The Livery in Eau Claire and there was no 20% charge on the bill.

Places that tack those on without notification, aka making you tip damn near 40%, never get my business again. It's all gotten out of hand. Either pay your employees better or close up shop.
Inadequate perception I reckon it's from the Valium

We have some board game fans here, right? We got Wingspan for Christmas and I'm obsessed. Have played 3 times in 4 days now. Really great engine-builder. Reminds me of Lords of Waterdeep.

Yeah, Wingspan is great. Been playing it once a week for 6 months or so (probably longer), still enjoying it.

Rea taste tested 50 apples. His bad apple pick was a copout and shouldn't have been a choice.

Dayana Yastremska is a great story. After looking promising her first year on tour several years ago, she started to really struggle - then the pandemic hit, and the war in Ukraine (she's Ukranian), and she'd dropped all the way to like 800th in the world.

AO, 2024, qualifier, and she's now in the semifinals with wins over a current top-10 player and a former world #1.

Tune into the AO on ESPN2 to either see Djokovic get run out of the arena by Sinner, or one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the sport.

Like, even as a Djokovic hater, it's not even entertaining to watch. Sinner is absolutely demolishing him.

Edit: Yikes. Unfortunately I gotta get sleep, but feels like all momentum back with Djoker. This would be a wild comeback / wild collapse if so.

Sinner is awesome and is playing really well but I've never seen Djokovic play like this. Just piling up unforced error after unforced error on the most routine shots and couldn't physically match Sinner's level. Maybe the first real signs of father time coming for Novak? I don't know how else you would explain it given that he had two days off before this match and doesn't appear to be injured or anything.

Congrats to Sinner. What a huge moment for him and it would be great for the sport if he can back this up and win the title.

We'll see what happens from here but Novak will turn 37 in May and t's not going to get easier to beat these guys that are 15 years younger than him. It really did feel like it could be the official changing of the guard moment.

Anyone been to a good all inclusive lately? My wife and I have our 5 year wedding anniversary this fall and want to do one. We did Sandals Barbados for our honeymoon and it was awesome. But pretty expensive. I've been to about a dozen around Mexico/Domincan/Jamaica but wouldn't want to go back to one that isn't adults only. Anyone have recommendations?

Djokovic was off for sure. Not like Sinner beat him at the top of his game. But Sinner was also absolutely cooking in the first two sets and I wonder if it could have rattled him a bit. Either way, agree here. Saw a stat that Sinner is 9-1 in his last 10 matches against Top 10 opponents; before that, he was something like 4-23.

Glad Medvedev came back (and it looks like it was QUITE a comeback). Zverev can get bent.

I feel like I consume a lot of sports and sports media, and the only time I see them is on a Chunky commercial or a quick cutaway during a game. Neither of which bother me because it's a grand total of about 20 seconds of my entire week. /shrug
