Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - PatBev: AJJ has "bright future"

We'll be maxing out the other thread soon, good time to reboot.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Never clicked? Lillard-Middleton-Giannis was the #1 performing trio in the league last season at +17.5 / 48 minutes (min. 600 minutes).

The idea that the roster hasn't been good enough over the past three seasons is ignoring how well this team played when healthy. The last time we had our big three healthy in April, we won the championship. I'm all for finding a trading partner for Lopez or Portis at this point, but nothing we do will matter if our stars are injured during the playoffs yet again.

How do we feel about this?

I’d then move Bobby for a 2, and possibly be able to use the tpmle.

Wouldn't be my first choice, but yeah. Sign me up. I really like Sharpe, though.

The last Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions thread where Bobby and Pat are Bucks. We will rejoice.

I'll still deal Brook to the Pelicans.

Bucks get: Daniels, Nance, numerous 2nds
Pelicans: Brook

Bucks get relief below the 2nd apron.

I think we may have to wait for the some of the bigger trades to happen, so we can latch on as a third team.

Simons particularly stands out.

Orlando seems like a really clear destination, so let’s see if we can pry free WCJ - we know Portland wouldn’t want him.

I think we could squeeze a little more value out of OKC, maybe Wiggins as he seems likely to be the odd man out since adding Caruso. Maybe send Beauchamp to Brooklyn so OKC can send out the lesser of PHI/OKC 2025 1st and we receive Wiggins.

I agree the next step is trading Portis to balance out our roster.
MIL - WCJ
SAC - Portis
ORL - Huerter and 2025 SAC 2nd

Use TPMLE to sign Josh Richardson (if he opts out)

PG - Dame, Beverley
SG - Richardson, Wiggins, Green, Johnson
SF - Midds, Pat C, AJJ, Livingston
PF - Giannis, DFS, Smith
C - WCJ, Sharpe

This leaves Pat C's salary and our 2031 picks to upgrade the roster at the trade deadline.

If they can’t get George…

League sources say the Warriors, who have a sensitive free agency situation of their own with Klay Thompson, have legitimate interest in making George part of their new core alongside Steph Curry and Draymond Green. This sort of move would be from the same Joe Lacob playbook we saw on display in mid-February, when the Warriors owner led a failed effort to land LeBron James heading into the trade deadline. So long as Curry is still playing at an elite level, that desire to swing big in the name of title contention will remain.

I just hope whatever the decision(s) Horst makes, it’s sooner rather than later. Making such a last minute major shake up trade like last summer ruined an off season of preparation. That can’t happen again, if in fact, we’re planning on shaking up the roster with Brook, Bobby and/or Pat. We need time for continuity and chemistry and everyone getting on the same page.

The Bucks have the scoring. We have Giannis for the transition baskets and Dame and Middleton for the half court basketball play.

What the Bucks need to address is the hustle and defensive play. We need to move some pieces for to improve on the defensive end.

My list of wants by Tier : Realistic Players

Tier 1
Herbert Jones
Jarrett Allen
Marcus Smart

Tier 2
Okongwu
Hunter
Dort
Tate

Tier 3
Resign Beverly
Mitchell Robinson
Kyle Anderson

Which of these guys are the most available and who would you trade to get them?

That would be such phenomenal value for us, and would open up a bunch of trade possibilities that we don’t presently have.

I am and I am fine with it. Felt the same way last year. Sometimes the best move is no move. Any major move means it takes time to adapt to that player.

For anyone who wants to unload Khris, look at the contracts going out to OG and Quickley. Khris is now considered underpaid. I am not against trading Khris, but it better be for an upgrade and not just to do it. Same with Brook or Portis.
