Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions - Beal for Midds discussed last year

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Tue Jul 9, 2024 8:30 pm

SL starts Saturday for the Bucks. There is a separate thread just for those games that will be open at that time.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I wouldn’t trade Pat + 2031 FRP for Kessler alone. I would sign with both hands though if it facilitates a Brook + Bobby trade for Ingram in terms of money and roster balancing.

Dame (38)/Wright (10)
AJJ (24)/Green (20)/Wright (4)
Midds (34)/Prince (14)
Ingram (34)/Giannis (14)
Giannis (24)/Kessler (24)

I would trade a future FRP for this and wouldn’t mind if it ends up in Utah. Obviously Ingram is the real prize.

Ron Swanson wrote:Ask yourself why a rebuilding team like Utah would already be fine moving on from Kessler, and you'll have your answer. He'll have a long career as a situational 15-20 minute defensive big, but that's all he'll ever be. Stop giving up assets for those kind of guys.

Eh, he's not Brook Lopez. But he also isn't a guy you can get every year in the 2nd round.

I think the guy is very good and will get better. He frustrates the heck out of shooters in the paint. I believe his issues in Utah may relate to how he's being used out there.

I don't think Utah would do it either. But if we did get Ingram as part of that package, I guess I'd roll the dice on it.

We'd still be very thin though in the frontcourt and not have a bruiser like PJ or Brook for that matter. Khris, Ingram, Prince would all have to do some significant duty at the 4.

I love Ingram on this team if he’s a young dude on his first contract looking to stand out and contribute in whatever way necessary. But as a vet looking for a huge contract, Im very worried he wouldn’t want to get the fourth amount of shots, and always defend the opponent’s best wing. I mean, I wouldn’t agree to that if I were him.

Ingram gives off major “Tim Thomas killing the Big 3” vibes.

Not sure of Brett Siegel’s track record but he says he’s hearing:

After adding DeRozan to their roster, the Kings have not slowed down in their pursuit of more talent. Markkanen remains a player Sacramento is highly interested in, yet the Kings lack the assets needed to pull off a trade for the Jazz star compared to what other teams have offered. Keegan Murray is a player the Jazz are high on, sources said, with the Kings showing zero interest in moving on from the former fourth overall pick.

The Warriors only have the ability to offer two outright first-round picks for Markkaken, which they have done to this point, sources said. Any scenario in which the Dubs would have a chance at landing Markkanen would more than likely require a third team, as Golden State would be attempting to get the Jazz another draft pick or two in a proposal that would include former All-Star wing Andrew Wiggins.

Brett Siegel:

Milwaukee Bucks: Despite rumors surrounding Brook Lopez, it would come as a surprise to many around the league if the Milwaukee Bucks did in fact move on from the veteran center. The Bucks gave Lopez a big contract last year to keep him because of how impactful he has been on the defensive side of the ball in the frontcourt next to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Khris Middleton's future, on the other hand, is certainly worth discussing. He is set to make $31.6 million this upcoming season and owns a $34 million player option for the 2025-26 season. No matter what trade they possibly make, the Bucks are wanting to win right now, which is why they will be wanting talent over draft picks.

All of this kinda seems like fluff. I don't see us making this Ingram trade and I don't see the Bucks getting back what they feel they should get for Brook.

I'd get comfortable with the current roster if I were you. I'm almost there.

I'm not 100% against trading Middleton, it's just hard to envision too many realistic deals involving him that make us better the next two seasons. We will see how that shakes out.

im not sure this is true. The Bucks did not act like they want to 'win right now' with the way they drafted

There's no such thing as a win now draft pick.
