-The fact that Giannis absolutely loved Adrian Griffin was leaked
-The Jae Crowder move was leaked well in advance by several people
-The AJ Johnson pick was leaked in advance by Sam Vecenie

Here's the thing, I don't even necessarily think the fact these got leaked are bad things. I just think that some people like to think that Lasry was the cause of all of the Bucks ownership problems when that clearly hasn't been the case

I know we are talking bucks but seems like every big trade ftom every big team gets leaked(will say rhe dame trade was a very quiet one) Most fans knew 4 days before it happened that the Cs were getting zinger etc hell trent jrs signing was kept on the QT other than some X dude saying the bucks were interested.
Its early i dont know what im trying to say .Sorry

This Ingram stuff certainly could be BS. But whether it's true or not it doesn't hurt his trade value.

Pelicans need a center to what could be a hilarious degree. Specifics aside they might be the team most likely to make a significant deal sooner than later.

Brandon Ingram reportedly dominating early on in Pelicans training camp

According to Head Coach Willie Green, Brandon Ingram has been excelling in training camp, either showing that he's not distracted by his ongoing contract negotiations or proving just how motivated he is by them:

“He’s not just fitting in. He’s dominating. It’s really refreshing to see him come into camp [and] play at a high level, high speed. He’s focused on getting to the rim more. Making threes. He’ll still have his midrange game because he’s elite in those positions. But overall, his leadership and spirit has been really good.”

So far, Ingram has proven David Griffin correct. Whether the extension discussions are negligible or motivating to him is regardless.

Sitting here on pins and needles wondering if we're gonna win the PJ "sweepstakes".

I really hope we get even-more-washed Jae Crowder.

I think this is right.

There's always rumblings around every team; the Woj-to-be's have to show they're grinding, but the leaks aren't as alarming or dunder-headed as they used to be. I also think Horts gets fixated on certain targets and it's usually for a longer time than most.

For free and with no expectation for big minutes maybe PJ could have a limited role but it doesn't seem like he's content to sit on the bench. I'm getting really down on Marjon and AJJ but I don't want to dump them or any other asset so we can get 39 year old still malcontent PJ Tucker.

The Crowder trade was telegraphed for months but other than that, I'm not really seeing anything in the way of rumors and leaks that leads me to believe that the organization was an outlier on that front. This is just how the NBA ecosphere works now. If anything they deserve a ton of credit for keeping the Dame trade negotiations so quiet until they pulled the trigger, Jrue's personal feelings be damned. The Jrue trade itself also came out of nowhere, if I recall correctly.

I'd be fine letting Marjon walk at any point. There is literally nothing there. AJJ could work, but we need to give him serious minutes to see and find where he fits in the rotation. I'd happily get rid of Marjon for Tucker because even though Tucker is washed, he's better than Marjon.

"Winning" the PJ sweepstakes would be not getting him - so if we're the favorites for that, great!

Here for the Buckner to Thibs comparison.

Not sure if we've heard about this before too:

While Rivers has not given a detailed rundown of the Bucks’ defensive strategies to reporters this preseason and we’ve yet to see Antetokounmpo and Lopez share the floor, Rivers made it clear he would like the Bucks to do a better job taking advantage of their dual rim protectors this season.

“I think the biggest change you’ll see in our defense is the basket will never be without one of them. Never,” Rivers told The Athletic during Bucks training camp in Irvine, Calif. “I don’t want Brook running out to f—ing corners. I want Brook protecting the basket. I want our guards to run out to the corners on 3s.

“And so the biggest change we’re making is in our shell defense — forget pick-and-rolls — where we would like both of them down there. But one of them will always be there, and those two now are a tandem. And they gotta understand if one’s out, the other one has to work his way down there, and they’re working on that.”

Good to hear at least. Biggest issue with the defense last season, beyond the incomprehensibly stupid idea to have Brook trap on the perimeter, was that the Bobby-as-the-sole-big lineups absolutely cratered the defense, and Giannis/Bobby frontcourt lineups weren't much better (117.9 points allowed per-100). That might honestly be the biggest data point to illustrate just how bad Griffin was. Always having one of Brook or Giannis on the floor, plus some non-moronic lineup construction, will go a long ways.

This also means we're paper thin up front. Either of those guys can't go and our whole defensive plan is scrapped.

I would think the hope is that having better defenders coming off the bench (Wright & Prince) would help mitigate it to some extent, but if Bobby is gonna be unplayable defensively, then we're kinda screwed either way.

It's only about Bobby to the extent he's definitely not one of those guys. He's not unplayable in general, but unplayable in the context of not sharing the floor with a rim protector in a scheme that keeps a big super low. He's surprisingly good in some coverages, but if he's the most rim-protectory guy available and we're using him like he's Brook, that's obviously not going to work.

Just saying we need a real backup C, really. Doc is talking about prioritizing run protection but that looks awfully fragile from here.

Doubt POR would be interested. Pretty sure they’d rather move Williams.

Could we get anything for Marjon? Would be nice to get a 2nd or 2 back so we can reload the stash for our next over the hill trade candidate

Reath is 28, and Clingan and Ayton are enough centers.
