Game 19: Wizards at Bucks - 11/30/24 - 7:00 - FDSWI

Bucks have won 5 straight, Wizards have dropped 13 straight. Brogdon recently returned and had a nice game Wednesday against the Clippers. Poole missed a couple of games with a hip but returned Wednesday night. Kuzma left Wednesday's game with a hip injury and his status for this game is unknown. Second overall pick Alex Sarr has struggled shooting.
No word on Giannis' status. Bucks don't play again until Tuesday so he may be held out. My guess is he'll be listed as questionable on the initial injury report later today.
Please keep trade talk on the trade thread.
Go Bucks.

Good scheduling (no Friday game, bunch of time off). Must win and hopefully Dame doesn't play more than 32.

He's been off the injury report and available the past couple of games. He decided to try to play through the injury rather than have surgery.

i just realized i've been calling him Ryan Hollins for two weeks.
Anyway...
the logistics of this are interesting. Is he just going to try and play out the rest of the year? Is he going to try and play enough to show the Bucks that the early season flashes weren't a fluke and then get the surgery (and a contract)? It doesn't seem like the kind of injury you can just play through and be fine. I googled it and it said the biggest risk factor for a dislocated shoulder is returning to physical activities too early. He needs immobilization for 4 to 6 weeks. But somehow he is not on the injury report?
If i'm Horst, i've already seen enough to take a flier on him for 3 years (including this one) so that we have his bird rights. Trade Marjon for a '31 2nd round pick (or whatever can legally be traded that equates to almost nothing) to open the roster spot. Let the kid get the surgery and hopefully, next season, we have some insurance for when guys like Trent and Wright are gone.

What's the rush? He's a RFA in the offseason, so he's not going anywhere. We already have his Early Bird rights. Let's not put an injured guy on the 15 man roster when we already have his rights. I've liked him since his GSW days, but the injury delays his impact.
