Game 34: Bucks at Raptors - 1/6/25 - 6:30 - FDSWI - Khris Out

Another game against a crappy team. Can't wait.

As usual, please keep the posts in this thread on the game itself and keep all trade talk in the team thread. Thx.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Any chance we can instead play a team we have beef with, so we actually try?

Giannis is the only player who has been making tremendous efforts every game trying to score, make difficult blocks to will the Bucks to a win.

Dame’s effort level, desperation level to try and win has been absolutely nothing by comparison. That is a huge problem compounded of course by his inability to make shots game after game with any degree of shooting accuracy.

Khris’ case is different from that of Dame. He has been trying hard to make shots, create openings for himself and trying to make the passes thar he used to make with ease in the past. But he is failing in all these. That has made him play with desperation in some games which has led to turnovers.

Giannis is trying over hard trying to compensate for the failures offensively of both Khris and Dame.
But this is not working enough to win against most teams.

That is the essence of our offense problems

Defense problems are many but that is a separate discussion.

I think he is trying too much on offense to attack and finish for himself. I kind of get it because it's so easy for him, a bad night shooting for Giannis is 50 percent from the field, but he needs to pass more and work off the ball more. He needs to screen for the shooters and he needs to run off screens to get open. The offense needs more movement and cutting when Dame has the ball.

“Fire Doc” and “is Khris cooked?” watch officially in full swing right now, or at least they should be. Team still has the easiest January schedule, so things could get pretty ugly here if tgey don’t start stacking wins.

Doc should have the honor to work for free until at least the Bucks get back over .500 in his tenure. This would get him to .500...on a team who was co-favorite for the championship & 32-14 the season he took over.

I just don't want to see Dame on this team. He clearly has issues (be they physical or mental), and that shows out by how he is playing.

Midds needs to be coming off the bench as an impact player (same as TP, which he is doing for now).

We only play Brook situationally, otherwise it's Giannis at the 5.

If Giannis is struggling with something (he's missed so many bunnies the last few games, and given little effort on the boards and on D), then let's resolve this instead of him trying to play through it.

I'm not sold on Rollins yet, but like Dre he brings an energy that is severely lacking through the vets in this team at the moment. We need some energy guys on the floor at any one time or we slow to a crawl.

Leave the entire team in Toronto if they can't get up for ending a losing streak against a **** opponent.

If they couldn't get up at home to beat Portland to end the slide, not sure how they're getting up for Toronto.

We need to make up a cup for these guys to play for so they might actually put some effort in.

Maybe this game can be for the inaugural 'city skyline' cup (I'm sure someone can think up a better cup name)

No, the Skyline Cup works great.

To-RON-to?
TOR-on-to?
TRON-to?

Christ, pick a pronunciation, ok guys?

Need a good bounce back after the last two-tree games, no.
