Game 44: Bucks at Jazz - 1/27/25 - 8:00 - FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Jan 26, 2025 1:43 pm

First of a B2B. If you're having a B2B on the road Jazz/Blazers are a good combo. Jazz are terrible, have lost 5 straight and are 3-15 at home. Middleton will either play this one or the Blazer game but not both. Hoping he bounces back if he plays. Green is close to returning.

As usual please keep the discussion on the game itself. All trade talk/ideas in the team thread please. Thx.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Danny Ainge is Daryl Morey with a jump shot, I will not be fielding questions. +1s are accepted.

Solid get right B2B after a tough loss. Missing Bobby and Khris playing like a BOA was hard to overcome so let’s beat up on the Jazz and keep it moving.

On a double side note, I’d like to see Brook rest this one after playing a ridiculous amount last night and I get an unusual amount of joy smacking Danny Ainge teams around so let’s not ruin that for me. Bucks in 6 let’s go.

It would be nice to manage this game where all our starters don't play more than 30 minutes but we can't afford a slide here so we need to win both these next two games

Do like the Miami game please. Sit Giannis in the fourth and gradually phase out the starters.

Must win!

Can't afford to lose the gimmie games. Dropped enough of those already.

Middleton being questionable instead of the usually listed probable suggests he's had a tendinitis flare up. It likely started when he tried to warm up for Miami right off the plane. It also explains why he looked like a corpse against the Clippers after playing well in his previous 4 game stretch.

Or it means he has a long term issue that isn't going to be resolved easily.

We know Middleton isn't going to play both tonight and tomorrow night. If the plan was tomorrow night he'd be listed as out for tonight. Sounds like he's going to try to play tonight.

If he misses both of these games there is definitely a concern.

As for Green I'm hoping he can play one of these games. I doubt he plays both.

It's an ankle. Never seen that kill a career unless they break it.

Clarkson will play, he's been out 3+ weeks. He'll have limited minutes.

John Collins is out.

Walker Kessler is out.

I wouldn't be shocked if we see Middleton go on a b2b for the first and probably only time this season tonight and tomorrow night. played 1 game all of last week plus after tomorrow the Bucks don't play again until Friday and hopefully he shouldn't need to play more than 20 minutes tonight all of that could lead them to decide to let this be the rare instance where he plays on a b2b.

Middleton's situation is eerily similar of late-stage Miami Heat DWade. Where he was still good though not quite the same when on the court but missed time and was carefully managed, with LeBron playing lots of minutes and hard carrying (12-14).

Doesn't sound like Green will be playing tonight. But when he says close I believe that means a game or two. Not the Middleton "close" that was weeks.
