Khris Middleton Appreciation Thread - Khris Thanks The City and Fans - Page 5

Please do NOT derail this with criticism of the trade. There is a thread on that. Posts that derail this thread will be removed.

I will be at Khris Middleton night when they retire his number.

Thank you Khris for stepping up when Giannis went down against Atlanta. We don't win the championship around you.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Really hope to see his number retired. As I said in the other thread, he's an all time Buck. Gonna miss you, Khris

He’s a goddamn legend. I’ll miss the hell out of him, and I’ll be there when his jersey goes up top.

Fundamentally sound and an all-around professional both on and off the court. Hit such big shots in the 2021 playoffs and was the perfect running mate for Freak. Wish him nothing but the best, and above all else, health.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

This one stings. Giannis and Khris came in the 2013 summer and only Steph Curry has been on a team longer.

Thanks for everything Khris

Khris's 22 will hang in the rafters. Very deservedly. He's an all-time Buck who helped us go on an all-time run in 2021.

Even after the his playoff run, he was underrated.

Loved seeing his jumper in away games and the reactions from fans who were dismayed by it. I always thought it was the most disrespectful jumper bc the closer someone got to him the more wet it was.

That 22 will definitely be in the rafters.

The last 10-11 years have been a joy to watch. Cheers to you.

Things that are true:

- Khris is a top 5 Buck
- We don't win the title without Kris
- Khris was a legit two way wing who could score and defend as well as any of his peers
- Khris had great skill and could cook anyone in 1 on 1's with the power of fakes, step backs, and crafty spins
- Aaron Rodgers famously pines and compliments Drew Gooden's mid range game but I think Khris passes Big Dog for "best mid range game of all time"
- Khris divided Bucks fans re: trade value, health, etc but I think everyone really liked and appreciated him in his prime
- I am at the stage of my basketball life where I play like (current) Khris

One day I hope to be the old man telling the "hip" kid wearing a throwback Kobe jersey to go look up Khris Middleton's midrange stats

One of the greatest Bucks of all time. An absolute legend. What incredible luck we had when we got him as a throw in for Brandon Jennings.

I’m so sad he declined so quickly. Without all the injuries, he could’ve been our Ginobili for another 3-4 solid seasons.

I’ll be rooting for Khris, and I hope he comes back to the Bucks for one more season on a minimum deal before he retires. He deserves to have a farewell season with Bucks fans. We will never forget your incredible career with the Bucks, Khris!

I will cherish my Middleton jersey for life!

Khris was incredibly underrated during his tenure here. It's going to be annoying watching the talking heads who ignored him glaze him now that he's gone. But he deserves his flowers. We don't win a title without him.

Amazing buck. I really do think they repeat if he does not get hurt. Wish him the best.

I will never forget the championship run as long as I live. Thank you for everything Khris.

Never getting another playoffs with both Giannis and Khris healthy after 2021 will always be the biggest what if of this era to me. This team had a repeat run in it. That knee injury against the Bulls in the playoffs really changed everything.
