Game 56: Heat at Bucks - 2/23/25 - 5:00 - FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sat Feb 22, 2025 3:01 pm

Bucks go for their 4th straight win. We're 2-0 vs. the Heat this season. We crushed them last month at home (no Jimmy, no Khris). Giannis isn't right yet, I wouldn't mind sitting him. Next week is Tue/Thur/Sat.

As usual please keep the post in this thread on this game only. Thanks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Giannis looked hurt last night. Not good.

idk. maybe Giannis was hurt but I feel playing limited minutes messed with his head a bit. tried doing too much. he was pretty effective when in early, just out of control in those last minutes.

if he's playable, play him against the heat and give him rest next week. Let's get the higher percentage of teams that could potentially be competing with for the 4-6 seeds and punt the rockets or nuggets.

3 in 4 out of the break is impressive scheduling.

Yea, but 3 days between games, then a back-to-back, twice in a row, coming at the start of March, is elite.

I'm thinking of going to his one but I'd like to know who is and isn't playing before ponying up for tix. I imagine when the initial injury report comes out later today we'll see a bunch of "questionables" and won't know anything until later tomorrow afternoon.

Didn't get the same lift. Perhaps he's trying to be cautious, but I'd rather they sit him for a couple weeks longer than risk him. Let Dame run the show.

The additions of Kuzma and KPJ have given me some new optimism going into the stretch run of the regular season.

I love Middleton and all that he has done for the Bucks.

But Horst robbed both the Wizards ad Clippers blind. Especially the Clippers.

Doc is forcing me to become a single take poster but whatever. Start Dame/Green (or GTJ)/Kuz/Giannis/Brook. We have a +16.5 net rating when AJ's on court w/ Giannis/Dame. I'm gonna lose my mind if we continue to start Dre or Prince at the 2 and they don't give extended run to a starting 5 with a real 2 guard in there.

Think KPJ is better served coming off the bench sharing the backup PG duties with Rollins. He adds much needed scoring and ball handling with the second unit. Green makes all the sense next to Giannis and Dame, but I doubt we ever see it. Doc will do everything to get TP into the lineup, but I think he looks rough trying to man that 2 spot and guard smaller, quicker guards.

Yeah it’s a waste to have KPJ out there with Dame and Giannis. He is most effective with the ball. Use him when Dame is off so you always have a dynamic PG on the floor who can create their own shot.

KPJ with Dame at spots can help him be off-ball sometimes without a bunch of GA turnovers

KPJ with Dame is a waste because either you’ve got KPJ offball which he isn’t good at or Dame off ball which is bad because he’s a rhythm shooter who already sacrifices touches to Giannis and if you are not using him as anything more than an offball floor spacer then you are actively playing a bad defender and not using his elite offensive talent. Not to mention, AJG, Trent, and Prince are statistically better catch and shoot offball floor spacers than Dame and better defenders as well.

Giannis is a permanent fixture on that report these days. Still plays, but always listed as probable etc.

Dame is more hobbled than Giannis right now. He's missed 2 of the last 3, and shot 2-12 in the game he played.
