Game 60: Bucks at Hawks - 3/4/25 - 6:30 - FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Mar 3, 2025 2:23 pm

The regular season is way too long and takes about 6 months and yet here we are at game 60 already.

First of a B2B (Dallas at home on Wednesday). Atlanta will be on the back end of one (at Memphis Monday night). If there is a plan to hold anyone out of one of these this would probably be the one to do it and have everyone play Wednesday but who knows. Another B2B looms Saturday/Sunday.

Bucks are 1-2 vs. the Hawks this season. Hawks have lost 2 straight and are just 27-33 but will still likely be a play-in team.

We're playing pretty well, not perfect, but pretty well. Let's keep it going.

As usual, please keep the posts in this thread on this game only. Thanks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

These are the ones I wouldn't be surprised if we lost earlier in the year, but we've been a different team. Just have to play hard like we have and we're good. Kuz and KPJ will make a huge difference in this one.

If 888 is calling the game, 100% likelihood of invoking lemon pepper.

If Novak is on the mic, a non-zero chance of spontaneous tinnitis for your boy (Chonestown).

120-104.

Giannis is a 50-piece away from 20k. Kind of crazy joining legends of Joe Johnson and Demar Derozan

He'll likely pass 20k next game which is at home.

Hawks are a pesky team, but I've noticed some improvement in transition defense. Should be a W if we gain more consistency.

Go for this one then rest players if needed against Dallas. I mean, they just replaced Moses Brown with Kai Jones.

If he can stay healthy and productive for 4-5 more years, Giannis should land in the top 10 of scoring. But that's asking a lot with his style of play.

If his newfound mid-range comfort and mastery sustain themselves, it's entirely possible. Though it's baffling that he's turned into Dirk from the mid-range and his FT% has tanked this season. He's learned the art of going at about 50-60% hard on defense, and balls out during crunch-time when needed.

Doc needs to distribute Freak and Dame's minutes better so that we don't get giant stretches in the second half with a bench mob.

Jalen Johnson out which definitely helps.

I'm choosing to believe it's because he's being forced to not over-exert Giannis with the calf stuff, but yeah, Doc is playing with fire running those bench mob lineups out there for entire 5-6 minute stretches against playoff teams. Right now they're miraculously staying afloat (+1.1), but there's no way that's sustainable when they're sporting a comically bad 98.9 offensive rating.

I forgot he got hurt but he was limping and went to the locker room for a bit Saturday night. Definitely need to sit him tomorrow and maybe Wednesday.

My first thought was "that would be our luck." I realize any player can get hurt at anytime, but it would be nice if the player we just traded an oft-injured player for would stay healthy.

Just our luck. At this rate we're gonna have to dust off Pat for some PF minutes.

Silver lining is that Pat stays ready for some decent vet mins, as long as it's 15 and under.

2nd silver lining is that I love seeing guys trying to back down Pat only to get stonewalled cuz he's still strong as ****. PF might honestly be his best playable position at this point. Or maybe this finally forces Doc to start an actual 2-guard cuz he needs Prince for those reserve minutes. We can only hope.

Pat's been out the last few games with a calf injury and he's out for this one
