PG Lakers - Nice Win

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Fri Mar 21, 2025 4:51 am

We didn't jump out to a 50-0 lead but took care of business.

Good to see Pat out there smiling and having fun. I don't know if he'll be back next season but he's a favorite.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

TP needs to be removed from that starting lineup (and starters minutes). This failed experiment has gone on far too long.

Yeah playoffs is coming so time to get Prince out of the starting lineup. We need an actual guard starting for him. Good to see a win though despite how depleted that Lakers line up was. The second half looked particularily good.

Doc is a moron, I don't expect a sensible change to the starting lineup until we're like down 0-2 in a series.

At which point he’ll bring Pat into the starting lineup.

That game was a bit of a slog. Rollins super feisty on D.

KPJ needs more time but he has to look for his teammates more. However, Giannis needs to give the ball up more and work on his w man game with KPJ.

Good that they proved they could beat a G League team. Rollins again showed on D. Prince at SG is hilariously bad when Rollins, KPJ, Trent, and AJG are all on the roster.
A good coach would find a way to use AJJ for 5-10 mpg as lightning in a bottle energy in certain lineups. Doc is not that coach as he lacks imagination.
Brook would be very useful as a 15-20 mpg big off the bench who you play more in favorable matchups and play less in unfavorable matchups but instead he’s shoehorned into being a 30+ mpg starting center which leads to him getting routinely exposed due to his lack of speed. LAL got back into the game by running PnR right at him for open threes and easy layups. Imagine what the Cavs, Knicks, or Celtics will do to him in a series. Even the Pacers. Get ready for Dame and Brook in a blender trying to defend PnR for seven straight games.
Kuz is so much better when he just attacks the rim. Even when he doesn’t finish all the time, it pressures the D. I’d love to see a KPJ/Kuz PnR with Giannis in the dunker spot for lobs but that’s too creative for ISO Doc.
Glad they wasted a two way spot on Nance when they need an actual playable big now until Sims and Bobby are back.

They took care of business. Good game.

But the load management rolls on. If you’re a Laker fan who just paid huge dollars to take your kids, you didn’t get to see LeBron (who will play the next game against the Bulls) nor Doncic w/“sprained ankle management” nor Dame. There otherwise would have been an epic four superstar game on tap.

It just did not used to be this way.

It looked like it was going to be an easy win after the first quarter, so I went to bed. Happy to see that was the case.

I'm honestly surprised people still pay to go to marquee matchup regular season games. I can't imagine shelling out 1k for my family to watch the G league Lakers.

Good to score 118 in this one. That Lakers lineup was a brutal offensive group, but is better defensively than their usual lineup by a wide margin.

Despite his shooting night, thought rollins was super active on D. Seemed to get a steal, deflection, or make an active play on every other possession.

I’ll definitely take the win tho, especially with how nba teams have been this week.
