Game 77: Bucks at Heat - 4/5/25 - 7:00 - FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Fri Apr 4, 2025 2:28 pm

Bucks are 3-0 vs. the Heat this season. Heat had a 6 game win streak snapped Thursday night. They're sitting at #9.

This is the first of a B2B (At NO Sunday). I can't imagine Giannis playing both (never know with Doc though) so he will sit out this one or the Sunday night game.

As usual please limit posts in this thread to this game ONLY. Thanks!
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Take care of business, starting in Miami and then in New Orleans. Let's keep stacking wins in order to control our own destiny (at least in the first round).

We really need that 5th seed. We can beat those front runners without Dame. It may be a tough series, but Giannis is superhuman and Pacers have no answer for him.

When the Heat go to a small lineup that is when I call them Miami Mice feel free to use no big deal

assuming we beat the pelicans twice, don't we basically hold our destiny at that point since we end with the pistons twice?

Giannis is probable on the initial injury report so it appears as if (I HOPE!) he sits Sunday against NO.

I'm just guessing, and not advocating for this, but I'd bet they don't sit him until Bobby is back.

That's possible. Dumb though, I know we're short on bigs but he doesn't need to play a B2B this weekend with the playoffs 2 weeks out.

Did he qualify yet for postseason awards?

He likely only needs 1 more. He’s at 63 right now, but also played in the NBa Cup final.

It’s not explicitly stated anywhere in the CBA that it counts towards the total, but precedent has been set since it would have counted toward Haliburton’s case last year if he came up a little short.

My guess is that would be allowed through the extraordinary circumstances challenge which is pretty vague.

With the Hawks losing today, pretty sure we clinched a playoff spot. Can't fall any lower than #6.

Now just a matter if the Bucks want the #5 seed or #6 seed. I am assuming they want #5 since Giannis is playing.

#5 is in our own hands with 2 games against the Pistons, Giannis played 39 mins last game. Doc is just a straight up idiot when it comes to minutes management. The most Doc/Bucks thing ever would be to play Giannis every game rest of the season and then he gets injured in the 1st round.
