2025 Playoffs - Round 1, Game 5 - Bucks at Pacers - 4/29/25 - 5:00 - NBATV/FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Apr 28, 2025 3:07 pm

Nice early start to get it over with.

Sure, we could have someone get hot like Trent did in game 3 and Indy is way too cocky for a franchise that has the same number of championships as the Pelicans but this team has checked out.

PLEASE keep the discussion on this game only. We have other threads discussing all of the off-season moves that will never happen 8-)
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Would be nice if Doc made adjustments for this game. But probably better he focuses on his tee times with Larry David and we end this season.

Is there any hope to steal this one?

Would love to see Giannis go nuclear. Still feels like we haven't seen him at his peak this series, which is insane given what he's done...BUT the Dame injury seemed to suck all life out of him last night. He didn't look nearly as engaged from that point on and I wouldn't be suprised to see that continue tomorrow.

You've gotta assume they don't continue to shoot the way they have been, but with the way Doc's lineups have looked and the confidence we give their shooters when we rely on Brook defensively… it doesn't inspire much hope.

Need a big, big game from somebody.

With someone else steering the ship, yes, but I think Doc is counting down the hours to his golf vacation.

Would be sweet to steal a road game and show some pride.

Hard to have any sort of meaningful analysis from last game, but I'll just echo some previous sentiment and say that Giannis was indeed kinda trash despite the box score. Tunnel vision scoring and not even looking to get his shooters involved at various points. Mentally he looked checked out, and I can't even really blame him too much considering that Doc is just going through the motions at this point. With a better coach and engaged Giannis, who knows, we'd still probably have a shot. But Heliocentric Giannis and this bucket-of-ass offense/defense scheme and coaching staff ain't doing anything. It's over.

Enjoy Giannis's last game in a Bucks jersey. I'll be shocked if he doesn't ask out this summer.

There was a moment late in the game where they showed him on the bench looking around and that thought went through my head.

I hate being a Wisconsin sports fan sometimes.

Which in that case, this could be our last playoff game in a long time.

Sit him and take the fine so he doesn't get injured.

Heliocentric Giannis? I love it.

Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York;
And all the clouds that lour'd upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried.
Now are our brows bound with victorious wreaths;
Our bruised arms hung up for monuments;
Our stern alarums changed to merry meetings,
Our dreadful marches to delightful measures.

It ended poorly for the sycophants of the sun of York, Richard the Third. Maybe Giannis the First fares better. Dum spiro spero.

The animal wounded is vicious
But our prospects are far from auspicious
I expect to see fight
If it's still a bad night
Time to hope for a rebuild ambitious

I was there too. Looked to me like he was realizing that might be his last home game in Milwaukee. Yes, I was emotionally despondent at the time of that analysis.

In the 3rd he was fine, but the 1st half was the worst ive seen from him probably since that Warriors game.

Just start Porter, Trent, Green, Bobby, Giannis. It's the only lineup that is working against the Pacers. Play Giannis 40ish minutes, the rest a bit less. Rollins and Sims should get the highest minutes from the bench. I wouldn't mind using Pat just not to use Prince, Kuzma, Brook at all.

Porter (36)/Rollins (12)
Trent (36)/Rollins (8)/Pat (4)
Green (32)/Pat (16)
Giannis (44)/Sims (4)
Portis (32)/Sims (16)

Let's bring it back to Milwaukee.

We won game 2 with almost nothing offensively from Dame. Insert Kpj, give him 40 min. We have a shot

Expect to get blown out again. Not only do Indiana have us figured out but we’re not a team who handles themselves well when they’re down.

Giannis isn't leaving. I think all that chatter is hog wash. He's our Dirk. Dallas made it to 2 finals, lost one, and then had plenty of first round exits, semi exits, and conference finals exits. Sprinkle in a few years never making the playoffs too.

Edit: and the FO isn't trading him. We don't need to be the next Nico even if our trade made more sense.
