The Doc Rivers watch thread (w/poll)
Bern asked for this, and why not. Not sure there is one board member here who wants to roll into next year with Doc as coach. So vent away with all the Doc discussion.
For the Poll you have a Yes, No and he gets moved upstairs options.

Do want him to stay? Of course not. Will he stay? Yup.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Thanks PP. And if you would, edit the Fire Doc Petition into the 1st post & you can add all other actions (like a billboard) in there subsequently.

I don't think this thread will be open very long. In the next few days we'll know definitely that he's staying.

Doc will find a way to survive.

Laurence Fishburne would be more creative with rotations.

Doc should be behind bars for his coaching performance this season. The thought of him being back with the Bucks next year makes me physically ill.

Re: The Doc Rivers watch thread (w/poll)
I don’t know why Doc would even want to come back other than the paycheck, he should be on TV instead of crashing out every few years on a new team.
I don’t think owners want to pay another coach this next season especially with Dame being out.

I mean Taurean Prince starting at the 2 sure was "creative" even before you get to the Kuzma at SF part.
"Rational", no.

Re: The Doc Rivers watch thread (w/poll)
If your coach legitimately can't even identify the best lineups to play, both based on net ratings, and the eye test, then that coach shouldn't be employed.
We gave away two playoff games starting Prince/Kuzma/Lopez. Not that we win those for sure, but we could have split and surely we don't start both games down 15-16 in the first if we start the lineup we did in game 5.
Bucks had a top 2 player (GA), the top 3 point % as a team in the league, and an efficent 25/7 #2, and finished 11th in offensive rating, with dismal 4th quarter offensive statistics to boot.
Simply put, he's a bad offensive coach and not a good adjustment guy either. If we are putting together a team similar to, or probably worse than last year for 25-26, then coaching is going to matter a ton.
Keeping Doc is indefensible.

I wanted a poll of whether the posters want him to stay. That's more meaningful. The numbers on RealGM are significant and make a statement. Let's use whatever little power we have.
We should be tryng to influence a decision, not guess what decision will be made.

I think the Bucks will wait to see what coaches shake out after the playoffs. This a more prudent approach than firing Bud and coming up with a plan after the fact.

Disagree. This isn't a case of whether "can we get someone better". It's a case of addition by subtraction.

The only coach left in the playoffs who may not be back is Adelman and we don't want him anyway.

Re: The Doc Rivers watch thread (w/poll)
I want doc gone independently, but I think gainnis is gone if doc is, so I can live with doc.
also, may be a negotiating/direction thing. if Giannis/the bucks are truly undecided they don't want to pick the wrong coach now. if Giannis is gone, doc isn't going to want to stay and probably negotiate a buyout to try to get back to TV

Re: The Doc Rivers watch thread (w/poll)
It is time we went the smart assistant coach route. Find the next Jordi Fernandez or Mark Daigneault or Will Hardy or Udoka. Go interview Chris Quinn.
