Game 3: Bucks at Cavs - 10/26/25 - 5:00 - FDSWI

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Yesterday 3:17 pm

Stupidly scheduled during football but it should be over right around Packers kick-off.

Cavs home opener, they lost to the Knicks and beat the Nets.

Injury report not out yet. We know KPJ is out and I imagine so is Kuz.

This will be a tough one.

As usual, please limit your posts to this game only. Thanks.

Its a good thing this is a road game because otherwise it might've been the least attended Bucks home game in several years,

As for the game itself, neither team is at full strength. KPJ will be out, Kuzma will presumably be out. For the Cavs, Strus and Garland are still a ways away from coming back and Hunter hasn't yet made his debut but might in this game.

Immanuel Quickley is a solid player but Ryan Rollins is going to get a big step up in competition as I think he'll be the primary defender on Mitchell. And while I think Myles Turner has played really well overall and I'm not worried about his shot in the medium or long term, but I do think that for this game if he goes 3-10 with 8 points I think its very unlikely that they win.

I think we probably take the L here due to injuries. I like us at full strength against a Cavs team without Garland. Unfortunately, I think we are going to struggle to stop them from getting what they want offensively.

Even if Turner doesn't score much, I think he'll contain Jarret Allen better than Brook did.

That’s the biggest difference on the Bucks this season. Last season teams could run PnR with Brook’s guy to instantly gain an advantage and get a good look. That’s no longer an option (outside of the Bobby at the 5 minutes).

I'm curious how they matchup the frontcourt players defensively. You had to put Giannis on Mobley because Brook has only a slightly better chance of staying in front Mobley than I do. That's less of an issue now and I wouldn't be surprised if Giannis' primary defensive assignment is Allen and Turner is on Mobley

Play Sims some if we need some d and hustle. He doesn't have great hands and misses some easy shots sometimes but he's got a great motor.

Winning a game where Coffey/Prince/Sims get meaningful minutes will be awesome

I think this is an L without KPJ, Cavs are really good and they'll be at home. Good news is personnel wise they're also guard and big heavy, should be an interesting matchup for our 3 guard + 2 big lineups. I'll be pissed if Doc still runs Prince to close instead of AJ.

Cavs will carve us up every single minute that Bobby is on the floor without another big. Through 2 games we've had 22 minutes of Bobby as the lone big and it's been 22 minutes of the Bucks getting demolished, it's only gonna be worse against a team like Cleveland.

Expecting a blowout loss here, but oh boy, if we somehow pull this one out, the hype train will be full steam ahead.

Turner was really good against them in the playoffs so maybe he’ll get going in this one
