Is Eddy Curry a good fit for the Bucks?

Yea, I know, Curry, eventhough is a big 7footer, can't rebound, can't block shots, and generally a weak defender.

But the guy can score. He can give you 18-20 points a game in the low post. Would you consider giving up Bogut to get him?

Maybe Redd/Curry duo can bring some life to the Bucks. I must admit Bogut is a smart defender, but he just isn't a low post scorer.

The last thing we need on this team is another guy who can score but doesnt play defense.

Sure... I think you can make a strong argument that Curry would be a welcome addition as some of our recent losses show that this team just isn't hungry enough... zing!

I have to disagree with you, SugarRay. Another guy who can score? Right now the Bucks are 20th in the league in points per game and we've only got two players on our roster averaging above 15ppg. The Bucks being a good offensive team is just a carryover from seasons past but has no validity so far this year. Curry would also provide scoring in the post where the Bucks have absolutely no one with any competence at the moment.

I'm not saying I want him on this team but my reasons for not wanting Curry aren't that we don't need another scorer.

You can think about Redd shooting the 3s from the outside and Curry taking care of the low post. Inside/Outside game can open a new dimension for the Bucks, don't you think?

Only an inside outside game can't work when both guys refuse to give up the ball. Give me Bogut's rebounding, defense, passing, and shotblocking over Curry's post game any day.

Things Eddy Curry is a good fit for:

Old Country Buffet spokeperson - "All You Can Eat"

XXXXXXXXXL Pair of Zubaz - "They're comfy for a man of my stature"

Competitive Eating - He could challenge Kobayashi for many titles

He's grabbed more of those than he has rebounds..

Eddy Curry's fat ass fits perfectly right where he is....The worst team in the NBA...

He epitomizes the lazy, fat, no heart, hustle and pride athlete... Just like the team he currently plays on...

I really don't like Curry, but I do agree that we are no longer a team who doesn't worry about scoring and could very much use his post offense. The past couple years, scoring is what we did it was our identity, not so much any more (we are identity-less). And mostly with the same group of players no less. Coaching and chemistry sure seem to matter. This team apparently lacks both and its morale is very low.

In theory we have enough offensive talent on this team. In reality with this coach and specific group of players it isn't getting done. We are still a very young team, but you cannot dig yourself too deep or you will never come out. I look for Yi to become our FC scorer. Inside and out.

IMO our ideal PF (PF/C) is a big, athletic, physical, can rebound, defend and if he scores he scores either in the low post or with above the rim play. A player with most of these attributes plus scoring generally equals an Amare, so I would forego the scoring and try to fulfill other areas. Like a Tyrus Thomas type player.

This is like asking, "am I a good fit for the clap?"
