My Redd Trade

Milwaukee trades:
Michael Redd
and
Bobby Simmons
Miami trades:
Alonzo Mourning
Jason Williams
Ricky Davis
Dorell Wright
2009 1st rounder pick
Why for Milwaukee? Sheds Michael Redd's and Bobby Simmons' contract while receiving expiring contracts, and a future stud in Dorell Wright, in an area we need (SF). We also get a 1st round pick in 2009.
Why for Miami? They see what Boston is doing with their Big 3. Could Wade, Redd, and Shaq compete?

Been discussed quite a bit in different variations but I would probably do this deal if we could somehow get Daequan Cook in the deal as well. Add Gadz and CV for Blount and Cook.
Us
Mo Williams/Jason Williams/Ivey
Daequan Cook/Charlie Bell
Dorell Wright/Ricky Davis
Yi Jianlian/Michael Ruffin
Andrew Bogut/Mark Blount
Them
Wade
Redd
Simmons
Haslem
Shaq
Tough for Miami since Wade becomes their primary PG, but still gives them a chance for one more run at it with the fire power Redd and CV bring. For us we clear tons of salary sooner, get two good young players, and another pick next year which I would try to use along with our own to move up and get Derrick Rose. Fantasy land I know, but thats what most trades on here are.

Miami probably waits as long as possible to make this trade. I understand that the conference sucks and they have an outside shot at the playoffs but I think they are pretty much done there. They might as well tank and trade for Redd as late as possible and then add one of the top 5 prospects in this upcoming draft that is pretty deep.
EDIT: I've always been a fan of this or most other trades involving Redd so sign me up.

DUDE, the bucks don't need more SMALL FOWARDS. they need a force in the paint. no one seems to understand that. the bucks need a proven big man too, not a project guy.. we got enough of those kind. i could give two poops if they trade redd or whoever, but GET A BIG! i say go after brand, injured and all. give em' redd and whoever the hell they want, tank the rest of the season and hope eric gordon from IU declares.

Ricky Davis plays the position of EC (Expiring Contract) not SF (Small Forward)
We have Bogut and Yi as bigs and CV is big but plays smaller. We can work on a big later when we have some flexibility financially(without Simmons/Redd)

You are right. Harris should have traded Redd for Duncan a long time ago. This guy is clueless and needs to go go as the Bucks GM.

For Miami, they retool to make another run. They get the best player in the deal and a PG to prevent Wade from getting too much time at PG. This team could make a run in the East this year.
Jordan Farmar
D-Wade
Michael Redd
Udonis Haslem
Shaq
Their depth is admittingly lacking but so are the Celtics and it seems to be going pretty good for them.
For the Lakers, they turn Kwame and a few most likely lower level prospects into serious talent to make their own run this year and to keep Kobe happy. Bell is perfect for the triangle offense and both he and Charlie V are coming around as of late. They still keep financial flexibility as Ricky expires after this season as well.
Derek Fisher
Kobe
Ricky Davis
Lamar Odom
Andrew Bynum
with Charlie V, Charlie B, Walton, Ariza, and Turiaf, they have a deep squad.
For us, we dump a huge amount of salary after this year (about 18 million if I calculated correctly), get a pretty impressive haul of young players and picks, and start to restructure a franchise that is in dire need of it.
Mo Williams
Daequan Cook
Dorell Wright
Yi Jianlian
Andrew Bogut
is our core going into the future.
we also pick up a good combo guard prospect in Critt, and have our own pick, LA's this year, and Miami's next year, which again I would use in an attempt to move up and get Rose (even if it possibly meant giving up Mo, yes he's that good). We also have oogles of cap space and while Blount has a bigger deal than Gadz it is one year shorter.

Id love that trade but cant see LA doing it. Talent and value wise I see it like this
CV=Farmar
Bell<Critt
Kwame>Davis (bigger expiring)
Nothing<1st
