Noah at it again (locker-room incident with Wallace)

January 16th Update: See page 3. After his suspension, Noah got into it after the game last night with Ben Wallace.

This to me is an amazing story. I can't recall something like this ever happening.....I liked Noah as a player, but I guess that loose screw of his is starting to manifest itself....John Paxson in the space of a year has gone from genius to goat....

ATLANTA - In a players-only vote, Bulls players decided to lengthen Joakim Noah's discipline for his emotional outburst at assistant Ron Adams on Friday in Philadelphia.

Bulls players voted to make Noah sit for his second straight game, Sunday's 1 p.m. tipoff in Atlanta. Previously, interim coach Jim Boylan had said Noah's discipline, which landed him on in the inactive list in Philadelphia, would last only one game.

A shell-shocked Noah struggled to find answers when asked about his teammates' decision.............

.......... "It's a situation we felt got out of hand," Wallace said. "Our big thing is regardless of what happened between a coach and a player, it should never get to the point where you don't respect a grown man. You have to always respect that fact."

Boylan applauded his players' decision and said the message sent to Noah was a cumulative one that also addressed Noah's habitual tardiness.

Not that I ever wanted him but I'm sure glad this guy dissed the Bucks and essentially removed himself from consideration on Draft Night. It made the decision to ignore him completely much easier.

Thank God we didn't end up with him. I'll have to admit I was an idiot for wanting him.

It sure is great watching all of the Bulls struggles.

I know we all thought he was a d-bag.....but I'm not sure that anyone figured his personality issues would impact his team like this in a negative way.

That last line about him always being late for practice is a stunner as well. He was presented by the media, coaches, etc. as the consumate winner.....

Maybe Milwaukee will start looking good to him now.....

Bulls seem to have their share of player personnel problems - Noah. TT and even Wallace and the whole headband issue.

Yeah, I recall Noah being regarded as this great leader who worked hard on his game. He appeared like a party guy, but definitely not a guy who would be problematic with coaches.

The question for the Bulls is where they go from here.....they got hammered today by Atlanta.

It would appear that all those trade assets Paxson kept touting the last two years are now devaluing slightly. Tyrus Thomas stock keeps going down....Deng and Gordon are still very good players but can't seem to elevate the team so far and are due big contracts of some sort. Hinrich's play has taken a a fall....

Good news for us though....

Pretty bad sign when your teammates condemn you. They must have found Noah's tirade disgusting. I'd tend to agree with them. You can't have an "average" rookie coming in and confronting coaches. If any player is going to do that, it's going to be a team leader or veteran. With that, as Wallace alluded to, those arguments only go so far.

Good news for us though....

I personally never liked Tyrus Thomas. Not only does he have a questionable attitude, but he's really not very good....at least not top 5 pick good.

The Hinrich situation really is baffling. He may get my vote as the league's most disappointing player this year.

You want bad GM work? Look no further than John Paxson.

Traded Tyson Chandler to sign Ben Wallace. Ugh.

Drafted Lamarcus Aldridge, traded him for Tyrus Thomas and Victor Kryapa.

Declined trades for Gasol/Garnett/Kobe.

Refused to sign or trade Deng and Gordon leading to a contract year situation like we had last year.

Drafted Joakim Noah.

Just terrible work in the past 1.5 years.

Can you imagine Chandler and Aldridige getting out on the break, with a guy like Kobe? Terrible.

Noah at least brings some energy off the bench. I don't mind at all when he's out there, unless he's paired with Wallace of course.

Tyrus Thomas is good in stretches but is pretty inconsistent. The Bulls should play him more just to see what they have, though. I'm pretty sure he could grab 8.5 rebounds a game playing Wallace-like minutes.

Damnit....could have had Aldridge.....damnit

Yeah....that organization was WAY too full of themselves back in June 2006......

Interesting that virtually every move they've made since that time hasn't worked out at all.....

The Chandler/Wallace thing was done to some extent (amount unknown) because of the owner. Chandler was awful in 05-06. I didn't like either move though.

He did not decline trades for KG or kobe. He was willing to deal Deng for either of them, but McHale refused to trade KG to Chicago, and Kobe vetoed the trade (he wanted to play with Deng). The trades were declined by McHale and kobe, not Pax. West wanted Gordon/Deng/#9 (noah) for Gasol. If you think that makes the Bulls a better team you're crazy. We'd suck even more than we already do if that happened.

Who would you have drafted over Noah? He was the BPA, and a big, which we needed. Before you say Hawes, compare Hawes to Gray, and you'll see the 49th pick has been outplaying the 10th. He does look like an idiot right now though.

And where's this bashing of Tyrus coming from? If it's the Free Money comment again, just be aware he had already promised to donate the money to his high school before he made the comments.
