My Xbox 360 recently died after 1 good years of fun. Lucky I bought a 2 year extended warranty from EB Games and I can just go an exchange it.
I am really missing Guitar Hero 3 and NBA 2k8.
Who else has had an Xbox 360 break down on them before?

Mine broke down last week. Got it last Christmas. Pretty much all me and my friends had the "one year and die" thing happen. Oh well, Ive played too much COD anyways.

Had mine for about 4 months, then it died. You don't need the xbox warranty anymore. The three red light error or the "red ring of death" has changed that. Each xbox 360 has a three year warranty protecting you from that error and only that error.

Yeah I know but its easier to go to EB Games and just exchange right away. If you send it off to Microsoft it can take weeks and even months to get backw to you.
I do not understand why all 360's are so dodgy. I mean PS3 has better graphics which means it should overheat and break down more, but it dosnt. I really wish Microsoft would fix this problem, I want to play my 360 again

I'm on my third one. Maybe I shouldn't leave it paused when I go to work. I got mine back from microsoft pretty fast though.

Had mine for almost a year, no problems so far. I even put my 360 in a different spot, when i rearranged my room, and it was closer to the window. Well when it snowed, the snow melted through my ceiling, because i had stuff hanging up there at one time by nails, and the water went through it. Well anyways, i stayed at a friends house and the next morning when I got home, my 360 had been in a puddle of water over night, and I for sure thought it was fried, but i tried it out and its as normal as before. Thankgod for that. Oh and don't buy those intercoolers for the 360. They started making my 360 run slower, and act up, and I did some research on it, and they said it can fry stuff in the 360. So if you didnt know that, now ya do.

Hopfully I am able to get one of the new 65nm Falcon chips...
I hear they are more reliable and less likely to get the red rings of death.

Ive had a handful of 360s break on me since release, but no big deal bc I just buy a new one at Walmart and then I return my broke ones.

I had a big red ring yesterday and I was all bummed out because I had heard so much about those damn rings. So I hopped online and went to a page that tells you what all the ring combinations mean, and then it told me how mine was easiest to fix, 1 solid flashing ring - the cable is unplugged.
That was a stressful 5 minutes.

I've had mine for three months with no problems. I love it. I made sure to put mine in a spot where it could have a lot of ventilation space. A lot of people who have their system overheat keep it in a small, concealed space. It needs to have ventilation room, since it gets pretty hot if you play it for a while.

I've had mine for a little over a month, it's one of the newer ones so supposedly most of the cooling problems are fixed. My buddy Nick's just red ringed yesterday though, and he doesn't have a store warranty. Sad Panda, he's gotta ship it out to Microsoft where they'll fix it (so it can break in another month). I work at Best Buy, and we literally see a half dozen (if not more) 360's come back dead, every day.
