T-mac's injury concerns

Post#1 » by jbone » Thu Jan 17, 2008 12:32 am

MD or PP you can merge this if you feel we dont need another tmac thread, but this should primarily be a injury concern thread and not a trade thread(meaing well if the first isn't included i would do it because he is injury prone)

the reason i made this thread is because people kill me with well he only plays 70 games a year.
if he is on the team his influence still effect the outcome of games.

for example the bucks were somthing like 3 out of 4 with redd missing granted they weren't playing L.A.,PHO,UTAH. they were playing teams that would give the bucks fits w/ redd. but the team stepped it up in his short absence and the outcome was great. BUT there is no way this team wins as many games w/o redd as they would w/ him. for an extended period of time they would not be able to keep up the enthusiasm.

the same thing would happen w/ T MAC, even moreso i think as he would be a greater influence on the team than redd is. so its not like the 12 games he would be missing would be awful, i think the bucks would step it up greatly in his absence. in an 82 game season if mcgrady missed 12 which is usual, i figure the bucks could win 5-12 fairly confidently. and w/ mcgrady i can see the bucks playing between .550 and .600 ball so thats bewteen a 45 and 50 win team much better than the bucks have been in the last 5 years. seems logical to me.

I am not all that concerned that he is injury prone, but if I am not mistaken he does have a chronic back injury that is very much concerning if its serious.

I was surprised to see he played more games than Redd, 2 of the last 3 full seasons.

But it's definitely a concern, esp since he's making a lot more than Redd, and he has all that high-school leap mileage. It's a tough commitment for someone who may never see more than 95% again.

Why is this a separate thread topic? Couldn't you add this in the other thread?

Couldn't you merge your 6 consecutive posts that you make in every thread into one or two posts? Thought so.
