Bucks Coverage in Asia

I am a Wisconsin native who had the opportunity to travel in three asian countries over Christmas and New Years. I paid special attention to the relative importance of basketball in each country as well as any Yi coverage.
I was in HK for New Years. Yao is still the big show in HK, but the Yi got headlines in the sports page. Basketball is a big deal, but I wouldn't call it a basketball first city. There was alot of soccer and cricket on the TV as well. It was my first trip to HK and what a beautiful city that is. Just like my beloved NYC.
I was also in Manila the night Yi dropped his 29/10 game. The Philippines is a basketball first country. Yi was on the front page of the paper that day. This is a country that would die to have an NBA player.
I was also in Thailand, but there was little or no Yi or basketball coverage.
