Scott Williams?

They've only had a couple of the FSN-Wisconsin broadcasts on League Pass of late but I haven't seen Scott Williams on any of them and I haven't been following the game threads as closely of late either. Where'd he go? Seems like McCollow has been filling in for him instead.

They can't be paying him anything. I mean they have three guys now doing this.....
He was doing play by play the other night in Utah (?) with Jim.

I thought you were going to suggest a comeback.
Damn.
We could use Scott Williams on this roster.

I actually thought he did a really good job with the color @ Utah.

I agree. With the sideline stuff it seemed like he went really, really fast (and loud) so he could out whatever it was he was saying. The color was much more relaxed.

IMO he's better than Mac. Less annoying. More insightful. More in touch with today's game. But Johnny Mac's a legend, so he ain't going nowhere.

grab league pass for a season and you'll find out how low bucks fans are to have jonny mac. The other color commentators around the league are awful. I thought steve smith last night for atlanta was going into a coma half the time. Jonny mac is incredibly insightful and passionate. He is more than willing to point out the flaws of the bucks. Moreover, i still think he'd be a good executive for the bucks as like an assistant gm or something.

You can say that again, that's practically all you hear when listening to bucks games. Between him and Jim I hear more about how they suck or how they could fail, than I hear them call the plays. After awhile it gets a little sickening. But I know there could be a lot worse so... oh well I guess.

I think he has National level talent and appeal. I expect him to move on sooner rather than later. Jonny Mac's time has passed.

I disagree about Williams. He adds nothing. Cleveland let him go and the only reason we hired him is he used to play here.

We have a top five local color guy here in John Mac.
Heck, watch a few Lakers games....they have this guy named Stu Lantz as their color guy. He's awful....and he's on in perhaps the biggest market in the country for one of the most successful teams......
Right now Scott Williams is like the Bucks....all potential with a lot of seasoning and coaching needed......and he may never get there.

My main thing with broadcast teams is for them to give credit where it's due...you can be a homer and be fair in your analysis, which is why I really like Jim/Jon and hate listening to Tommy Heinsohn, for instance.
Marv Albert was always my fave national broadcaster growing up and I still think he's the best of the national guys. I really like Breen/Walt Frazier for the Knicks.
The Cavs seem to switch up their announcers every year almost. Mark Price had the personality of a wood board when he got a shot a couple years ago. I didn't think Scott was bad when I heard him once or twice while he was on FSN Ohio, but his enthusiasm was a little lost on me since I'm not a Cavs fan. And the one FSN Ohio game I saw this year it was clear Austin Carr (I think that's who it was) didn't know anything about the Bucks. He just kept talking about how we were a running team.

Of course thats how Milwaukee is. We only hire someone if they have ties to the team or city or maybe they are a former lover of Herb Kohl....
I like Williams though but maybe its because the guy pictured above was just so bad.

Mac is so much better than Williams it's mindblowing. I've already blown out both eardrums because I forgot to turn down the volume on my HDTV when Williams was talking.

The Denver play by play guy is pretty bad too. He said something along the line of "Charlie Villanueva is more physical than Yi and is certainly a better defender"

Scott Williams provides better analysis than JMac, but is also one of the most insufferable homers I've heard. JMac is a homer, but he compliments the opposition at the right times. Williams does not.
JMac analyzes the game, Williams analyzes the Bucks.
