both of them should be gone by the deadline. If we could make a deal that would free up some cap space for us, like trading for theo ratliff, or gettin someone who could play defense would really help out

I would probably do it. Craig Smith can be explosive at times when given an opportunity, and ratliff is a good backup for bogut.. certainly a lot better than gadz

the theo ratliff expiring was a big part of the garnett deal, so minnesota isn't just going to give that away in exchange for a bad contract and cv

This would be a great trade.

MIN wouldn't touch Bobby Simmons though. No chance in hell. They have plenty of SF's and don't need one thats owed $27M or whatever

The team doesn't need cap space... pretty much anyone who's more productive than CV and/or Bobby would do.

then try and trade simmons/bell or just one of them for either a defensive wing player

now lookin at it, the bucks played well with redd out. if we could trade him for a defensive wing player, we could do some damage. maybe gerald wallace or someone. i doubt that the bobcats would trade him, but it could work.

Yeah NBA live trades dont usually work well in real life.

I'm pretty sure I'm alone on this one, but I don't want to see either of these guys traded right now. Bobby to me seems to be finding his feet again and could get back close to the SF we signed and desperately needed, it's too early to tell but the signs are good. Even if you do want to trade him I'd leave it till right at the deadline as with his continued improved play his value will be much higher than it is now. CV should be starting in front of Yi now imo, so if we're trading him we absolutely have to get a good 4 back, Yi is not up to it right now. I also feel that given a starting or at least increased role his play will improve (he was playing better until recently), again making him a greater asset for those who do want to trade him.

Probably have to wait until summer to see a Bucks trade. Look for the Simmons/Gadz/CV to Knicks talks to be rekindled, as the Knicks are one of the few teams that can afford to overpay for such marginal players and would be interested in them.

But forget about Z-Bo. Next year will be the last of Marbury's huge contract, and it fits Isaiah's M.O. to trade him and a draft pick for a few overpaid veterans. The Bucks are just the kind of small market team that often covets fiscally responsible moves like that one.

Obviously the Knicks have to make it worthwhile for the Bucks. I would suggest the Knicks offer Steph plus swapping first-round picks on draft day. I'm not sure but I think the Knicks can trade their pick on draft day. Another team owns their pick unless it's in the top 18, but by draft day it will be clear that the Knicks will be keeping their pick and they should be able to draft a player and send him straight to the Bucks. Another option is getting the Knicks' pick outright, but they would have to improve their record to make that feasible.

I completely agree. Considering the cicumstances (injured for a year, personal situation), it shouldn't be a surprise that he hasn't played well. But he's a fairly talented player, who's shown a good work ethic throughout his career, so there's every reason to expect him to improve as the season goes on. Trading him now, when his trade value is at it's lowest, would be stupid.
