All you really need to know about this game is that this guy will be in town to get his number re-retired........think Dwayne Wade but a better defender:

Big Lose. We will try to go inside to Bogut but this team is soooo not for that. Last year, Stotts' team could beat these guys. This year we can't.

I don't like this game, especially if the offensive philosophy of 'Bogut's team' is still in effect. These guys get after it on D, swarming and reaching always, that is exactly the type of defenders Bogut has trouble with, as their guards are long and tall and can get after it (just think of the exact opposite of Mo/Redd).

2) We've now got two much more athletic guards in Bell and Ivey who should get more playing time than the first time around.

Two things that might help us in this game versus the last:

1) GS is on the road.....their home is a very tough place to play.

2) We've now got two much more athletic guards in Bell and Ivey who should get more playing time than the first time around.

They're actually only 11-7 at home and 12-10 on the road...I was very surprised to see that.

The key to me is turnovers...they force more turnovers than any other team in the league, and we regularly get killed by transition off our own carelessness. We have to play a half-court game...they're last in the league in rebound rate so you can get second chances off them.

Biedrins has had a thigh problem lately and actually came off the bench in Indiana...they went super-small with a Jax-Barnes-Harrington front line. I'm not sure if they'll do that again but Bogut will have to punish them down low either way. Unfortunately Yi hasn't shown much ability to take advantage when he plays against smaller players.

GS is one of the few teams that I could see wanting Redd, being able to benefit from adding him, being willing and able to incorporate his style of play, and being able to offer a respectable package in return. I hope Redd goes nuclear on them tonight and in a few days a Redd/Gadz for Harrington/Ellis/Pietrus trade (with throw-ins for salary) goes down.

Sidney wasn't as dynamic offensively as D-Wade. Royal Ivey reminds me a little of Super Sid.

The way I see it, Bogut puts up 25/11, but we get destroyed from the 3 point line by the Warriors.

I think it will be a little closer than when we got smoked in Golden State but Bucks still lose this. This team is not built to be able to stop run and gun offensive teams like the Warriors.

On a seperate note...hopefully there will be a pretty big crowd maybe even a *cough* *cough* (sellout) being a bobblehead night and the Moncrief thing. Also as I mentioned in another thread Sparky will be broadcasting the postgame show from Fitz's after the game.

Mo, Redd and Yi could have good days... we're not much in favor of guarding perimeter shots. If Bogut starts scoring early it could be great for you guys, then use his passing ability to get past our constant double-teams and find an open shooter...

But my concern (from your end) would be Mo... how good of a ballhandler is he really? I've seen him drive into trouble a lot.. and our team loves to find PGs who aren't that good at handling the ball well. Our team disrupts the PG to start, or tries to, to mess up the entire offense...

Bogut has been getting all the touches during his dominant 10 game stretch so I think he has the potential of a good game more than Mo or Redd do. Mo is a pretty good ball handler. But he struggles when he's double teamed.
