Is Milwaukee Dealing with the Washington Wizards?

So, I was on my Midwest Airlines flight back to Washington DC from Milwaukee for my extended weekend (Thanks Dr. King).

Once I got into the DCA airport, I went to the bathroom, and none-other than Dave Babcock entered. I did doubt that it was him, until making out the shiny "D B" on his carry-on and double checking his image with a Google images "Dave Babcock" search, and the 21st entry was most certainly the face I saw. And my girlfriend threw me a confirmation as well.

I was wearing my long sleeve Bucks shirt, and he seemed to hide his face a little bit, but hey who doesn't hide their face in the bathroom?

I left the bathroom and headed to the luggage carousel, while he strolled past me with his luggage (all carry-ons) and out into the DC's tropical 23 degrees (I just came back from that Milwaukee chill).

Considering the Bucks were already playing the Hornets as my plane arrived at 4:30, what would the Director of Player Personnel be doing in the nation's capital? The Bucks don't play the Wizards in Washington until March.

Maybe he's already put in his two weeks with the Bucks and he's looking for another team to go to? or Maybe he's been sent out to discuss some trade options or sign some paperwork for the Wizards? or Maybe this is the uneventful encounter of someone traveling for the purpose of X (X being completely not Bucks related).

I would love to know more of his job description to speculate the purpose of his trip.

In any event, I wanted to share this information with people who would actually find it intriguing, useful, or at least to acknowledge that I saw Dave Babcock today -- at the least.

He could've had a meeting with Herb Kohl...is Kohl in Washington right now? Though I guess that could've been done on the phone.

He could have been scouting a college player or a game in the area, or been visiting family/friend.

He was probably scouting Roy Hibbert at Georgetown.....or many of the other east coast schools out there like Maryland, etc.

We need you to tip us off when Larry Harris will get fired like you did with George Karl.... 8)

No because the only way theyd do it is if it was like top 5 or 10, then I doubt we would do it.

Butler is a stud. I'm happy for him. Both Miami and LAL could use him right now. He'd be a GREAT fit here too...

The Wiz won't deal him....

They wouldn't do it even if the pick was unprotected. And we would, if you can pick up an all star for CV and a pick then you do it. Certain all-star and great team player > pick that may or may not turn into anything. We'd do the trade and then find some way to pick up a good defensive PG, let Butler run the offense.

I wish I still had connections, but those have long since disappeared. Nonetheless, the second I hear anything bucks related that may not be public knowledge, you know I'll drop a line. Congrats, once again, on the promotion to Mod.

I really wanted to, but I was like, dude, you can't do that in the bathroom. Then he was cruising along and out the door and I missed my opportunity.

Awesome post dude.

Thanks, McFromage. I love the name, and french cheeses to boot.

I wish the Bucks were making a move for Butler, but I just highly doubt it. The more I think about it, the more it seems like he could be scouting the Syracuse v. Georgetown game. But I'm still going to hope that the Bucks could get Butler.
