MIL/NO---Redd trade

Bucks trade: Redd

Hornets trade: Morris Peterson, Julian Wright, Bobby Jackson

I'm not sure if this is enough value to give up for Redd, but it would really help our defense. I also remember hearing that we were high on Julian Wright during the draft, though that could have just been a smokescreen. He could be an incredible compliment to Bogut/Yi with his solid passing though.

With this trade, we get a serviceable defensive minded role player at SG, a SF with potential to be a long term fit there, and a veteran PG who plays some D and has a soon to be ending contract.

I hope we find a better deal than this, but if we were to trade him right now we could do much worse than this I bet.

I don't think that's enough for Redd. Mo Pete has been terrible this year and he's not getting any younger. Zero interest in Bobby Jackson. Julian Wright I like but right now he's unproven.

Trade Checker okays:

CV + Gadz

for

Bobby Jackson, Julian Wright, and Ryan Bowen

Not sure why the Hornets would go for that but I would.

The Hornets seemingly have little need for CV, so I doubt they'd trade Wright for him and take on Gadz's contract.

The problem with adding more for the bucks in my trade is that while it's suspect for the bucks as is, I'm not even sure the Hornets do it. Their team is doing great and it would hurt them a lot cap wise considering they are arleady paying big money to Peja, Chandler, and will ahve to pay Paul soon enough.

If this deal were to include a Simmons for Peja swap it might be preferable to both sides. Bobby's paid less and has a year less on his contract, while Peja can make an entry pass. What about this:

[b]Bucks trade: Redd, Simmons

Hornets trade: Peja, Wright, Jackson

I'm not sure we prefer this, as it depends on how badly we want to drop Simmons and how much we can get out of Peja. Our 2 guard spot would also be a mess...but we do get to drop Simmons which I'm a big fan of.

it's hard for me to see the hornets making a move like that with how well things are going

I agree. I only think they make a deal this big if they think they are only giving up young players with potential who will not contribute any time soon in addition to players not worth thier contracts.

Peja clealry falls in that category and Peterson does as well to a lesser extent. Julian Wright hasn't done much for them and clealry needs time to develop.

They also would need to think that a trade like this puts them on a different level, adn I think Redd would be so good for htem that they just might believe this.
