probably because we're one of the smallest markets in all of professional sports and pretty much always have junky teams

The real question is you would think the local newspaper would have a long in-depth article about this organization and their history here in Milwaukee and their success and struggles.

If the player views playing in the NBA as a business, there are usually reasons to do business in a larger market.
But it's possible for management to be smarter than the NBA norm, and it's easier for a small market to create an atmosphere where everyone treats everyone with respect and understanding, where effort is contagious, and where the system makes the most of the players who join it. (Kinda like what the Packers did in the past and are trying to do now in little ol' Green Bay.)
But to think that a small market can be as mediocre as is the common norm, and can simultaneously enjoy success, is not at all realistic.

Gary Payton lived in Corvallis Oregon for 4 years, and grew up with barely adequate funds on the mean streets of Oakland, yet he was malcontent with 100 million dollars in his safe abode Milwaukee and adamant about how it was a boring town. That speaks to how much NBA players become prima donnas as soon as they get their multi-million dollar salaries, being insatiable beyond that point. I wonder how the 12-year old Gary Payton, or even 22-year old, would have responded to the 35-year old Gary Payton. It's all about perspective.

Do they have those sasusage races that they advertise on the FSN broadcasts everywhere or are they just held in Wisconsin? Surely they are a selling point? They are real, aren't they?

If Milwaukee really wants to get on the map, it needs a 'females only' beer can regatta on the lake. Chicks in bikinis and beer are an unbeatable combination!

It was a nice surprise reading the paper today. Not sure where it really came from, but nice to see the Bucks in the USA Today.
The best point of the article was stating the Bucks have the fewest 1st Round draft picks in the entire NBA and 5 less than average.

Every Brewers home game. Sometimes they even go on the road (last year they went to San Francisco)
