A few things, did that really happen, about where he mentions the higher ups telling redd and mo to give bogut the ball, and now the national media is starting to talk about redd and mo's chucking ways.

Very nice article. It's about time the Bucks realize that they have talent on their hands...

I'm glad the national media is recognizing that Yi Jianlian has serious talent. I definitely agree with that. Yi Jianlian is going to be a serious player in this league. We just need him to spend a summer working on finishing at the basket, improving his overall strength and working on holding onto the ball. The kid has special written all over him.. and even with Bogut starting to show some improvement, I still think Yi is the better player long term if all goes well.

Get Yi the ball.. Yeah there are times I wish we did get Yi the ball more, but I also recognize that he has been struggling for a long minute now, and even when he has had opportunities there are times when his shot just doesn't fall down. It happens. He's a rookie that hasn't had a minutes break and has been going full throttle for a long time now. I think the Bucks will start throwing the ball his way more often if he cant finish more, turn the ball over less, and hit those open jumpers that most teams in the league want to give him. He'll do it.. but I think we need to give him time.

Now the most interesting part of the article was that someone else agrees with me that Yi is taller than 7'0. The guy is just big.. really big, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he turned out to be closer to 7'1.5 rather than the 6'11 to 7'0 most have him listed as.

Good stuff.....

".....Two weeks ago, though, the Bucks brain trust got off its keister and told guards Michael Redd and Maurice Williams to stop shooting so much and start pounding the ball inside. In the next four games Bogut put up at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. For every rising star in the NBA there is a corner, and Bogut has turned it...."

"......The Bucks don't do anything to get Yi into the offense. It was a major breakthrough to get Redd and Williams to start looking Bogut's way, so Yi will have to be content being a bigger, more skilled Cedric Ceballos, scoring his points when he can. Because he can. And some day he will. Trust me on this..."

The talent is obviously there. He's a legit 7-1, has a great stroke, can handle the ball, and he is already in my opinion an above average man to man defender (help defense needs some work). Once he can score after absorbing contact it will help his game IMMENSELY. I think he'll rebound well just on size/jumping ability alone. He'll never be a good passer/creator but that's OK.

I see around 16/8 next season, and a huge year in his third year.

The best thing about Bogut/Yi is that both are developing into good defenders as well.

The whole issue lies in the selfish backcourt. We're never going to see BOTH Bogut/Yi breakout with the backcourt how it is. Maybe one, not both.
