Harris sticking it to CV?

Post#1 » by InsideOut » Sat Jan 26, 2008 4:08 pm

Today in the J/S LH says several players have improved through-out the season and then names Simmons, Bell and Ivey. He also praised the efforts of starters Redd, Mo, Bogut along with Yi. I find it interesting how he had nothing positive to say about CV. I know if I was CV and I saw the GM praising everyone (especially YI) but me I'd be a little ticked off. So was it an accident or did LH leave him off his lists on purpose?

If I was CV, I would focus more on being a professional and showing up to play every night, and less on what LH said in the paper that day.

On which of those lists does CV deserve to be listed? Has he improved? Is he playing with effort?

Nobody in the organization is happy with CV's play.. he's been inconsistent all season, rarely gives the effort he is capable of and doesn't seem committed to playing his role on the team.. he isn't going to get any praise for that.

What exactly has Villanueva done to merit any praise?

Outside of a few games CV has been terrible this year. Anybody who thinks CV deserves credit needs to watch the games and specifically CV a little bit closer. He puts the Bucks at an extreme dis-advantage when he is on the floor with his awful defense and inconsistent offense.

being traded to Milwaukee was the worse thing that could of happened to him in his career.

Because he was the picture of consistency and effort in high school, at UConn, and in Toronto? Nope.

He would have seen even less action in Toronto.

People here are acting like CV is Chris Bosh ..............most of us do not know all the subtleties that go on in playing defense and I have heard that CV is Ruebenesque in his cluelessness at times. CV is a much more intelligent man then Rueben, but either lazy or indifferent, he is the only player I have ever seen, or heard, Redd scream at on the court at least 3 times.

Why is he still on this team?? He should've been traded a long time ago, if they don't like him or want him here.

Because no one is putting any sort of pressure on Harris to make any moves. A bigger market, a bigger fanbase, a bigger media contingent, a less senile owner would accomplish that. But the Bucks have none of those, and therefore, nothing will get done about it.

Is this like some kind of panacing thing that I missed? Why do people keep doing this?

CV has been the most efficient scorer lately, what games are you watching?

But guys like Bell, Ivey, Simmons and Yi deserve praise for their play this season?

Last night in 30 minutes Redd was 5-12 and had 12/3/0

Last night in 15 minutes CV was 6-9 and had 12/7/1.

I could care less about CV one way or another but last night he played great and showed a lot of effort. His reward was to only play 15 minutes and get slighted by the GM. He's putting up similar numbers to Yi and yet CV does it with 7 less minutes of playing time. So do you think it makes CV want to try harder or less hard if he gets benched when he's giving effort and then gets slighted by the GM in the paper? Why don't they just trade him and get it over with already. He doesn't want to be here (like 1/2 the other players) and they obviously don't want him around either.
