I know Vince Carters contract is 1 year longer than Redd's but we get rid of Gadz for Collins who has 1 year left on his contract. Vince would put some fans in the seats of the BC. New Jersey can get a younger, scoring compliment to Jefferson and Kidd. Gadz might be better suited for New Jerseys style of play.[/quote]

This would be an absolute steal. No wonder Jersey fans shot this down.

How about this deal with New Jersey:

Williams/Villanueva/Gadzuric/Storey

For

Williams/Wright/Collins/Magloire

Williams and Villanueva could help New Jersey a lot. They really lack a good scoring combo guard to back up the 1 and 2, and an athletic inside scorer at power forward.

With Sean Williams (a shotblocking/rebounding 4/5) our frontcourt would be set, and we could concentrate on upgrading the 1, 2, and 3 in the draft, or through trades. We would also get cap relief sooner.

Ivey/Bell
Redd/Mason
Simmons/Wright
Yi/Williams
Bogut/Williams

I despise Vince Carter, but this would be a real hard deal for Milwaukee to turn down. If it'd guarantee that we could keep the team in milwaukee because of increased fan interest we'd probably have to do it.

If we don't think that Carter can bring enough fans in to guarantee we stay here a while long though, then I for sure say screw this deal. Carter is a loser with the exact opposite mentality than what we're trying to develop here.

the nj fans hate him right now. he doesn't drive to the basket any more, he doesn't attack like he used to, he doesn't put in the effort. he's getting booed. you think he'll miraculously be more motivated playing on a losing team in milwaukee?

i'd give him five games and then the fans would turn.

i'd hate vince carter in a bucks uni.

Why do this? Carter is similar to Redd but even less of what we need.

Me too, but liek I said, if we think it'd get enough fan involvement to ensure that we stay in milwaukee, we do it.

If he really isn't taking it to the hoop anymore though, then I doubt that he could drum up enough fan interest. I'm hoping we don't take a risk on him, because I can see the clowns running our organization screwing a deal up like that royally.

Carter puts fans in the stands. Obviously the Bucks need a little shakeup. They can dump Gadz contract for a shorter one in Collins. We need to make some type of change here. The team is playing like a bunch of a**holes.
Redd doesnt seem to be able to lead this team.

There is a chance that Vince comes here and is pissed off that he's in Milwaukee and with a young team that isnt winning right now, but theres also a chance that he might see this as a fresh opportunity to run with an up and coming young team.

Man, if we thought Redd had holes in his game, wait until we'd get to see 82 games of Vince being lazy. That would open our eyes up for sure.

this woudl really be a short term fix for us, as vince has really worn out his welcome wherever he has gone. the casual bucks fans woudl really like this deal I bet, but the ones in the know would be prepared to watch some pitiful performances.

Maybe being the #1 option on a team again would inspire him though, especially since he'd be playing on an international stage. In fact, if he could really turn it up I can see it adding to a China based rivalry of Yi and Vince vs. Yao and Vince's cousins Tracy.
