Bucks vs. Wizards Post-game Thread

Post#1 » by Comet » Mon Jan 28, 2008 1:43 am

The Wizards sure did give us a run for our money. We had a nice lead, then we pissed it away and it went to OT. But we won anyway. Ivey, Mo, Bell, and Bogut all had great games.

Oh, and this game further proved why we need to trade Redd.

Mo was great in OT but to me that only just balances out the fact that he almost single handedly blew the lead in the 4th. Yi did a nice job on the boards, Bogut did a nice job everywhere and hopefully Storey can restrain himself when the team play Cleveland since he has a thing for 7'3 Europeans.

Glad we got our moneys worth!

I am still not happy one little bit, even though we won.

Losing an 11 point lead with 2 minutes left is just a disgrace, this team is going nowhere and we have to make some trades.

None of you should be happy with this win, we should of won it by double digits considering we were up by that with 2 minutes left.

Please Larry Harris make some trades! :D

Could be just me but it looked like the Bucks played harder tonight than they have in a long while. Lots of hustle, some really superb defense.

Storey was HUGE tonight in the 2nd quarter when nothing seemed to be going right offensively.

The **** the bed at the end of regulation and this one could have ended with us talking about Bogut failing to box out Butler or the god-awful play at the end of regulation.

But some really huge shots by Mo and a monstrous one by Ivey and it's a nice night.

I think it's 5-1 without Redd if you count Miami.

there shouldn't have been "crunch time" unless you want to consider the end of regulation crunch time when Williams was awful.........he did do a good job of knocking down that open 3 in overtime, isn't inside out basketball the best??

This was close to our best performance of the season for me. The blowing of the lead was absolutely horrible with bad mistakes by MO x 3, Yi, CB tipping the rebound from bogut and Bogut letting butler get the board over him, but that doesn't take away from the fact that our defense was outstanding for most of the night, and we hustled the best we have all year.
Props to Storey and Ruffin for bringing in some real energy which got us going. Mo very nearly single handedly killed us in regulation but came up big in OT, Charlie Bell was good and Ivey probably had his career game.
Bogut POTG though, his stat line against one of the best defensive centers in the league was seriously impressive, and he controlled the offense better than any PG we got. This guy is our leader now, no question

Yep, and to me it seems that Mo will actually make that entry pass to Bogut. Redd doesn't even know Bogut is on the court with him half the time.
