Non basketball thoughts from the BC (Wizards)
The crowd was great. Maybe only 12,000 but they loved the game.
There were huge groups of small kids ages 2-12 tonight. The Bucks need to do more of this. More 5pm starts....more kids group specials. These are future Bucks fans....and they were into the game big-time.
Energee had some good outfits.....
Ernie Grunfeld was in the house.......as was a contingent from down south to back Caron Butler.

12000? At least 1/8 was Caron's crew from what I hear.

Tight red pants.

The Wizards announcers showed Grunfeld and brought up how he "built the Eastern Conference Finals team." If only they knew. Then they went on to praise the Brown for Butler trade. It sounded like they were trying so hard not to trash Brown.

The Lakers game was a pretty good crowd too

Crowd sounded great, if they were half as into it as the guys in the game thread it must have been a killer atmoshpere.

I had the privilege of sitting in some courstside club seats tonight very near Senator Kohl.
I'd say the best "Non Basketball Thoughts" from tonight would be after the game was over when we were leaving the game, we saw Senator Kohl and some of his entourage (can someone tell me who that middle aged taller black gentleman Kohl is always with?) standing in the hall waiting to leave.
I may have had my inhibitions loosened by a few beers and between that and a suggestion from one of our fellow RealGM users (who chickened out and didn't join in with me), I started loudly heckling Senator Kohl in a very particular fashion. I caused quite a scene. Everyone started staring at me and Senator Kohl and his crew ran away like a bunch of scared babies.
Here is what I yelled VERY loudly with my hands cupped around my mouth for effect:
"Booooooo!!!! Ron Walter!!!!
Ron Walter is TERRRRRRIBLE!!!!
Ron Walter makes HORRRRIBLE basketball decisions!!!!!
Fire Ron Walter!!!!"
Perhaps it accomplished virtually nothing, but it was very cathartic
Senator Kohl looked right at me and then turned away and booked it out of there. Chicken.

I got a way to defend it. Bring a bat to the game and kill one of them."

I was also pleasently surprised with the crowd. We had 2 kids in front of us who were screaming the entire game. I told their parents they need to buy these kids season tickets. One was probably 8, his older brother was like 12 or so. When Washington made the 11-0 run to send it to overtime, the older brother was holding his younger brother as if the Bradley Center was being held hostage.
The energy was great though. The first quarter might of been the worst display of basketball I've seen in a while. We dodged a bullet with only scoring 2 points in the first 6 minutes of the game and only being down 6 or whatever it was.
Dan, where the guys sitting next to you guys from Real GM?

Heard we won and I thought 1250am was mistaken.
Well that sucks, it was a great game.
