CV/Mason for Artest

Seems like a fair trade and we get a true SF that can help this team both defensively and offensively.
Get this done!
What about Bibby

Throw in Mo for Bibby? Might have to switch Mason for Simmons to get the deal done. I'd try to get Garcia out of the deal too since Bibby and Artest can opt out after the season, but I think Sac will get better offers.

How about no.

Why the F do we want Artest?
Give up CV and Mason for 1/2 season of Artest?
No thanks, I'll pass
CV/Gadz I would do, but SAC wouldn't

the bucks should want artest if they want to make the play-offs this year. otherwise, keep their lousy lineup of unintelligent minds together and hope to get lucky in the lottery for the next 5 seasons.
I hate the pessimism about signing players on the last year of their contract. You know it is possible if the player has success playing for Milwaukee, that he might want to stay and milwaukee would actually extend his contract. So think of this trade as the Bucks trading two bench warmers for somebody who will start at SF and actually make a difference.
I'm not sure where all the hate for Bibby comes from on this board and where all the love for Mo comes from. Stats don't mean jack if you're the guy who brings the ball down court and then chucks away at the first opportunity. At least bibby's team usually wins or at least plays competively in their losses. Bibby is not as stat oriented as Mo is.
In comparing Bibby to Mo, there are a lot of teams interested in trading for Bibby, but zero teams interested in trading for MO. that should tell you all you need to know about bibby verses Mo. I have to believe the Cavs and Heat have competant Gms.

Nobody hates Bibby or loves Mo. It's really just a matter of common sense that you seem to be missing. It's been a fact that Mo is simply not a chucker this year, he's taking much better shots and is shooting very well from all over the floor. The past 2 years Mo is right around the same number of field goal attempts per game then Bibby has been over the past 5 or 6 years, probably less by looking at the numbers. Oh, and he's averaged more assists and rebounds. But that must mean Mo cares more about stats then Bibby?

Give me a break. Would I take a 25 year old Bibby, of course.
GM's have been looking to get Bibby for the piece that will get them over the top, teams that need a vetaran point guard. Bibby has one year left on his contract, Mo just signed one. Why would we sign Mo, then look to trade him instantly? Bibby has been on the block since Sacramento isn't going anywhere at this point. Not to mention, Bibby makes almost twice as much as Mo, yet it doesn't really matter for you, does it? You like to live in the video game world of general management. Why I'm even bothering to explain to you the obvious reason why moving Mo for Bibby makes absolutely no sense is beyond me.
Again, it's not that Mo is way better or Bibby is way worse. But if you look at the logistics of it, it would be idiotic.

I'd do any trade not involving Des, Bogut, or Yi for Artest. Artest is a winner, and makes every team he goes to better, at least intially. I'll take Kenny Thomas for Gadz if they want, also.
Can't trade Des again, because it's sacreligious.
Trade

The point in trading Mo for Bibby to me would be the cap space. We could go after Gilbert or Kidd or Marion in the offseason, bring up Sessions, whatever, and maybe we can do sign and trades for Bibby or Artest. It really doesn't matter anyway because Kohl won't bring in Artest.

I'll take this trade on one condition:
They take Simmons or Gadz off our hands.
We may be getting the best player in the deal, but he will most likely opt-out of his contract this offseason and not re-sign.
They're getting the player for the future(which is what both teams should be playing for) so I would have to ask that they take Gadz or Simmons off our hands for a much shorter contract.

None of those guys want to sign here in all likelihood. Plus, I think Bibby has one more year on his contract after this season.
I honestly don't really mind having Artest on the roster...we suck anyways and the thing we lack is defense. If he really is that much of a team cancer, can our team be any worse than it already is? Plus, if he is the cancer, we just cut ties with him for next year anyways as I can guarantee you he won't take his player option.

I was not suggesting a mo for bibby trade. i was simply stating there seems to be a lot of bucks posters who bad mouth bibby and I'm not really sure why. it's not like he's a former Buck. how many people here have actually watched him play on a regular basis? Wha t is it about Bibby that makes people here hate him so much? I want the Bucks to acquire Artest and sign him to a 5 year extension. I didn't want the Bucks to resign Mo, but I also admitted there was not any other FA point guard available last Summer who was better. I'm not going to say the Ford for C V trade was a mistake, but all I've heard out of harris' mouth since that trade is that the Bucks need to find a quality point guard. I' m sure mo has a drawer full of all the comments made by harris in the past year about wanting to acquire a quality point guard such as billups. perhaps that motivates him, or on the dark side depresses mo more and makes him want to lose.
If i were in Harris' shoes , i would have traded for a veteran quality PG - perhaps bibby, and resigned Mo to be our 6th man and allowed charles to play for the heat. i also would never give a bench player anything more than a 2 year contract.
