Which all time Buck would you want shooting the last shot???

Post#1 » by miggs0721 » Fri Feb 1, 2008 5:56 pm

As mentioned on 1250 this morning. Just curious as to who you would select with the seconds winding down. My 2 picks: Dale Ellis and Gary Payton, even though he was here for half a year, he is still one of the best clutch shooters ever

Darvin Ham. What nobody remembers his baseline 3 against the Bulls to tie the game in like 2000?

Ray Allen, would have picked big dog, but that missed shot against philly in the ec finals was to much.

I don't really remember. All I remember is Ted Davis saying we were really lucky because he stepped out of bounds before he shot it.

Yeah taken from Ham's bio.

On March 8 (vs. Cleveland), hit just the third three-pointer of his career, a desperation shot that forced overtime

Trusty memory, never fails me.

How about Brad Lohus or Steve Hensen (I heard he hit 20 out of 20 3's during a Bucks practice once without defense on him)

Seriously though, I heard the show and was totally thinking of 2 guys the whole time that noone said. For just clutch shooting: Dell (won't miss) Curry and Dale Ellis (great job thread creator). Cassell is the most clutch Buck that I remember and he can create his own shot/draw fouls the best as well.

IMO - Those who said Big Dog don't remember the wide open 10 foot baseline shot he missed with 3 seconds left in a big playoff game, I think against the Hornets. He is not clutch IMO and I would not want him to have the ball at the end. And for the Ray Allen people... I guess, I just wish he could draw fouls if he wasn't open on that play, that dude is soft and I wouldn't feel confident with him having the ball.
