Does the Gasol Trade Mean

Post#1 » by magpies » Sat Feb 2, 2008 2:48 am

That Odom is available, if so he is a type of player we need, He can play the three or four, In the last couple of years he has shown he has a all round ability on the court and does not always have the desire to score heaps but he rebounds, passes and has alot of experience.

The Lakers might look at taking Gaz, Simmons for him as they need another C and Simmons (well I am not sure any team wants him but him going helps us)

I was expecting you to say, 'Does that mean Mike Conley Jr. is available?'...

I like Kyle Lowry. MEM is having a fire sale. I'd suggest CV for Miller but we already have too many perimeter shooters. Everything must go!

darko looked very good in his last game starting in place of Gashol and playing 40 minutes. His stats for that game were better than Bogut's lofty hall of fame all star caliber january average. I guess the memphis GM decided Darko was the man for the center position. it's too bad the Bucks didn't have the insight to acquire Darko when orlando was giving him away.

Because of one game, yeah. Remember the last time the Bucks acquired a player because of one game? How did that work out.

Hey, Darko's 6 points and 5 rebounds per game on 43% shooting would be invaluable! Damn you Larry Harris!

I think the Gasol trade means we contact the Bulls to be our trading partners on something.....

Paxson has now struck out on KG, Kobe and Gasol.....Redd is next on the list.... :)

Doesn't seem like Odom would be a very good fit for this team. We lack energy enough, the last thing we need is someone who puts forth 50% effort every night and has no real drive to win. I know we're hard up for a small forward, but we're not going to get him for nothing, and the Lakers need quality defenders and role players, which we really can't offer much of.

Me too. There will definitely be a PG available in Memphis sooner or later.

Why do we need a PG? If you do not like Mo doesn't Session deserve a chance?

Why in the world would Memphis even for a millisecond consider trading Conley for CV?

I know I mentioned the other day that CV had more value than some people were giving him credit for, but he doesn't have anywhere close to THAT much value.

Isn't Lamar "I only got one good hand" Odom known for having relatively low basketball IQ? He'd fit right in here but I don't see how it helps us.

I wanted Conley more than Yi all along and I stand by that, I would trade Yi for Conley in a heartbeat. Then trade Mo next summer when he's no longer BYC.
