Philly would be wise to shop him and free up a couple mill in cap space while they're at it, and I think he would be a much better fit for the Bucks than Mo although I'm not sure Philly would want Mo.

I'd give up Yi if it included Thad Young and Jason Smith, but I realize people have an irrational obsession with young players like Yi even though most of them never turn out to be anywhere near as good as the desperate savior-seekers make them out to be.

The response from the Mo contingent is that Mo averages 16/6.8 and Miller averages 16/6.2 so how are we upgrading?

I know that Miller gets his stats an entirely different way than Mo get's his, but I'll let you discuss that one.

I would not trade Yi though for the package of guys you reference....he might not be a star, but he could be a top tier PF.

Yi cannot be traded under no circumstances, unless you're getting a superstar in return. If you cannot figure out why, I suggest you have your head examined.

It makes no sense to get Andre Miller, especially if we are trading Redd to get him. Trading Redd should bring back young players with upside and a salary that will come off the books in a couple years (when bobby does).

If we can get Andre without giving up Redd (would have to dump mo), you can say we are going for a WIN now approach, but I don't think an all NBA chubby backcourt of Redd and Miller could get very far.

Redd is a one dimensional player with an ugly contract, you are not getting alot back for him. I would prefer Gasol to Redd any day, look what he brought back.

If Larry Harris is impressed by point guards who penetrate at will against us he'll happily trade for any guy in the league who has played the Bucks. I like Miller but I think we still need a PG who can hit the open three.

This scenario is the most feasible. Nothing about PHI screams that they want to win right now, they're building. We give them a younger talent in CV, Jake's expiring, and Dez will expire after next year.

Redd is a one dimensional player with an ugly contract to us. Redd is a GREAT 2nd option to a team with a superstar or a great pg that can get him open shots. I don't think its unreasonable that we can get a first round draft pick, a half decent young player, and a contract that will expire fairly soon (2 years or less).

I think mid-season might difficult to trade him. The teams and the pieces don't line up as nicely as we would like. The teams who are contending don't have much that we would want. The tanking teams don't have enough incentive to take him on. But before the draft however, I could easily see a similar deal like seattle-boston going down if someone wants to make a major splash and get redd.

I don't think this is enough. They would probably want a draft pick as well (future first or next years second?), or someone besides Mason with more upside (which I don't think we really have -Bell??). If CV was locked into a reasonable contract I think that deal could go, but whichever team acquires CV has to deal with getting him a new contract, and who knows what he is going to want, or even what he is worth.

Andre Miller is an average starting PG that turns 32 in a month. He's got three years remaining on his deal. His value will continue to drop every year that goes by.

Getting a young PF on a rookie deal, an expiring and another short deal is about all they can expect.

Calling Jake an expiring deal does not really capture the allure of what teams look for in an expiring deal. I think he's only on board for 3 mil? Thats really not that much, and desmond offsets that. Plus they have a ton of players at sg/sf that Desmond would take time from. I think they can do better, and could find another team that wants Andre a lot more than we do. I would have been more interested in trading CV for someone like Korver when they had him.
