Bucks/Rockets Post-Game Thread
Bogut pwned Yao.
Bobby Simmons was on fire from beyond the arc tonight.
Tracy McGrady had a big game.
Yi struggled, and LK decided to keep CV on the bench anyway, though that's not surprising.

Bogut was outstanding again. Anyone who has any doubts about him against top tier centers can forget it, he owned Yao tonight, including blocking him twice.
LK is coaching terribly. I'm sure Epi will rip me for this, but he cost us any chance at this win tonight. Firstly Bogut owned in the 1st going 5/8 and getting 2 fouls on Yao, then our offense was horrendous in the 2nd so instead of working Bogut into it we got him 1 shot off (from memory) 2 catches in the low block, and were consistently setting him up high. That's crap.
Once again we work him into it in the third and he has another 6, and in the 4th we go to him a very little in the post and he has another 5. In between was a whole bunch of crap jumpshooting. Bogut should have got 30 shots tonight, he was the ONLY thing we had going for us and Yao was in foul trouble trying to defend him.
CV came in and was doing some really really good things in the fourth whilst Yi was having a horrible game (as usual), so what does LK do? Takes CV out (he HAD to have missed a defensive assignment somewhere, right?) and brings in Yi for the most important stretch. Yi proceeds to shoot straight away and miss, and continue to do so. Also why the hell was Mason playing over bobby in the 4th? I know bobby only lit up in junk time but Des was actually hurting us. We were actually running iso's for mason over bogut.
The stupidity of our coaching choices is beyond belief at times.

No wonder CV wants out. WTH was Larry K smoking? CV worked hard tonight, and gets the hook? its like Larry K has decided not to give him more than 18-20 mins a game no matter what.
Putting Yi with the second unit would be a good idea as they can run some plays for him there and he can take it stronger to the rim against second unit bigs.
And some real bad selections by Mo and company down the stretch. Larry K needs to go, seriously.

This team isn't worth watching or discussing.
Where is the faith MD?

Poor Man's Coach K really didn't have a clue tonight perpetually calling for pick and rolls with Andrew Bogut, when he can't shoot a jumper, and when he was succeeding in the post up game. The Bucks' worst periods of ballgames are typically the first few minutes, 3rd quarters, and crunch time. Those happen to be the times in the game where the coach has the most impact with pregame prep, halftime adjustments, and timeout city down the stretch. Poor Man's coach K is a better motivator than Stotts, however he's inferior with the X's and O's.

The Bucks big problem offensively is nobody can make jump shots on this team.
We get the ball inside to Bogut a lot, but when he passes out it a brickfest. Tonight Mo, Dez, and Yi were a combined 9-35 from the field.
Teams won't score inside every single time down the court, you gotta make open shots. The Rockets pulled away with McGrady drilling open jumper, the Bucks dented the rims on their jumpers.
An inside/outside offense only works if the outside guys hit their shots and nobody on the Bucks is a consistent shooter on open jumpers.
