Is confirmed for missing the game or just likely out??

http://blogs.jsonline.com/bucks/archive ... ulder.aspx

Charles Gardner wrote:Bucks rookie forward Yi Jianlian underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam on his ailing right shoulder today, and the team was awaiting the results.

Yi was injured on a play in the first quarter of the game on Saturday as the Bucks lost to the Houston Rockets, 91-83. It was the matchup billed as Yao-Yi II, but Yi shot only 1 for 10 from the field and scored just six points, while Rockets center Yao Ming had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Yi admitted today that his shoulder bothered him during the rest of the game.

Asked if it affected his shooting, Yi said, "A little bit. I could feel it on the back of my shoulder."

Yi did make the trip with the team, which left this afternoon for Memphis. The Bucks play the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night and move on to Dallas to face the Mavericks on Wednesday night.

The 7-foot rookie has started all 48 games with the Bucks this season, averaging 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds. He is shooting 42.9% from the field and 83.3% from the free throw line.

No biggie really. Yi probably needs a rest. He has played a lot of basketball over the past couple of months. CV can start hopefully he plays well and we can trade him to some sucker that forgot he can't defend to save himself :D

I bet Ruffin or Voshkul will start if Yi misses the game.

Ruffin should start in my opinion. I think he's worth considering as the starter even when Yi is healthy given Yi's struggles.

You know its bad when Ruffin and Mason are your best Forward options.

Mason is already the worst starter in the league and Ruffin would be worse than that. Just sad.

We all know that CV has KG talent and has been muzzled. Now is his chance (against a bad team too).

Nah. Clearly, Ruffin is vastly superior to CV in every facet of the game. I've said this numerous times...

Tomorrow we will find out that Yi has a lateral tear and will be out 6-8 weeks.

I've been thinking something like this might actually be the best thing for Yi and the team, provided it's only very very minor of course. I don't want to see the guy injured but he clearly needs a rest, so if he can get a week off this way I actually think it will be good for him. As far as the team goes it takes away the ridiculous situation we've been having with Yi getting rewarded with strong minutes for his poor play. Time to give CV strong minutes and actually see what he's got, and as I assume we're going to trade him it might be great timing. If CV has a big week starting it could enhance his value before the deadline.

Redd with the thigh. Mo with the thumb. Yi with the shoulder. Could be laying the foundation for tanking.

i wish CV play a hard one and Redd not playing
because Redd will take away too much attempt from CV definitely
let CV play his game and play up the trade value
anyways
it's a good way that Yi will take a rest before the all rookie game
as there is nobody who can represent bucks in that weekend

This is just a smart move. My guess is that Yi has a legit injury though probably could play, but he needs a break. Shut him down for a week and hope CV goes off for a few big games to thaw a favorable trade. No need to make him play through a minor injury when a week off could bring him back to previous levels and allow teams to scout CV when he's playing a bigger role.

Plus more minutes for Ruffin and his busy hands.

God i hope Ruffin or Jake doesn't start over CV...

It makes no sense to play Ruffin or Jake when the season is already over and you need to develop your kids for next season.

Come on LK... be smarter and play CV!
