What is Bogut's ceiling now?

Since Bogut apparently sleeps next to a picture of his mentor since the new year, what is his ceiling now?

Pros-

Can command a double team
Much improved man/help defender
Good ball handler and passer
Can go finish with both hands

Cons-

Not a great rebounder
bad FT%
Can't shoot any sort of a jump shot

You misspelled perennial.

Perineal is an anatomical term.

I don't know. I'm still pretty cynical about Bogut. If he continues his play until the end of the season, I'd say he's a perennial all-star.

his ceiling with the current backcourt or his ceiling with a more team-oriented backcourt?

who is his competition at center in the east for the all star position? Bosh is a PF, Sheed will retire in a few, Shaq is dead, Eddy Curry is fat, ben wallace is 40, JO is a walking injury, Okafor maybe could compete is the bobcats get on track, Z is old, Bargnani isn't a center IMO...He has to be a perennial all-star...unless the draft shifts to make the East stronger at the Center position or trades happen. All the talented centers are in the West.

With this back court, his numbers will dip soon, around the 13pts 8rbs, if changes are made either a change of back court or he leaves he is a all star

Absolutely no reason why he can't get up to the perennial all-star level.

I voted HOF because there has to be some sort of Australian sports hof?

I think he will be an all-star in the East. So I voted for Redd/Mags all-star because if he was in the West there would be no chance for him to make the all-star game.

In the East the only guys he really has to compete with is Z, Shaq, Jermaine O'Neal (Who is hurt all of the time) and Ben Wallace.

However, it appears like the coaches won't just put anyone into the game. For instance they put Bosh into the all-star game along with the others because they were far more deserving than any of the non Dwight Howard centers in the East.

yes. remember that Australia is your gateway to eastern world. So please show the slowmo replays of Bogut swatting Yao Ming lay-up shots twice and not only that shot block on Mo Williams! its not fair!

I could see a chance of him being a reserve behind Dwight at least once. I treated this more like "most likely ceiling" than your basic possible ceiling.

Well i voted for the Mags/Redd All star. But i think he'll be an All-star more than once by the time he finishes.

Dwight Howard is a perennial lock for the All-star game for the next decade. I would be lying if i said that Bogut would be a perennial all-star, and even though there isn't much talent at the C spot in the east, there will probably be a trade at some point in the next couple of years that will send a more talented/hyped C to the east.

Yeah. He has all the talent to be an all star every single year. He just needs to get keep doing what he's doing. I just hope all those all star years are with Milwaukee. I don't want to miss out on them.

He is the only reason that I will attend the rest of my games in my half season ticket package. He single-handedly gives me a reason to watch the games.

He's the lone guy that's actually improving instead of struggling or annoying me in some way. On a team filled with players who are figuring out play worse, he's playing better.

He plays with a little bit of fire, which is lacking with the other players.

He speaks a little more frankly about the team, while others feed us the same crap.

He plays a position that is not easy to find quality players, yet he is a quality player.

I'll say that Bogut makes the all star team 3-4 times as a reserve in the next 10 years. Dwight Howard is ridiculous.

i found some scouting reports on Bogut from when we drafted him

Room for improvement at the free throw line...Decent in the open court, but not outstanding...Occasionally, falls in love with the same post move (simply because nobody in the MWC can defend him)...Will need to take his lumps against the Duncans, Garnetts, and Nowitzki

He is definitely All Star level as a Center.

But, as I learned in the Zach Randolph debates, averaging 16/10 on a losing team means very little.

Hopefully he can keep up the numbers, maybe the wins will start coming.
