I know that Kohl has this mantra of we dont take on players with "bad" attitudes, but this is the type of player that can bring some toughness to a team that is dire need of some.

What would it take for the Kings to trade us Artest? Charlie V would have to be involved.

i agree with u jbizz....artest wouldn't be my first option...but this team needs some damn toughness and D. he would surely help that. artest does bring some problems with his attitude.....but i don't want any more of these nice type, role model players for milwaukee.......need talent and guys with some fierceness. Look I brought Artest up every year and every single day...YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME.

There is nothing wrong with Artest's attitude. People are people... get over it! That's basketball and that is life! He is just....him.

But this team is not committed to winning but it is about using it as a tool for a Senator to manipulate the masses.

He is not serious about winning for them his legacy or getting re-elected or thought highly on a civic scale and philantropist.

Why get Artest only to have him opt out and leave the team at the end of the season? If his contract was for longer then sure, but not fo a half-year rental. No point.

Cap space that would have been locked up in Redd's contract.

He's a pain in the ass and would cause a bunch of problems, but he would be a great upgrade on the court.

Why can't we just resign him if it works? There shouldn't be many teams with the cap room to give him a much bigger contract, then the one he has now. Give him a 3 year extension that ends when Redd's ends. What so hard about that?

Artest does not help teams succeed - every NBA team that he has played for has let him go, admitting that his skills are not worth the problems that he causes.

Artest has said that he needs to take more three point shots so that he can command a bigger contract next time he is a free agent.

Artest does not always play, much less play to win. He is unpredictable and unreliable.

Artest is a distraction that causes his team to have disappointing seasons. Despite playing with solid NBA players like Jermaine O'Neal, Steven Jackson, Mike Bibby, Brad Miller and Kevin Martin, Artest has only played on one team that has advanced past the first round of the playoffs.

Artest brings talent, toughness, distraction, unpredictability, and disappointment. He would hurt the Bucks more than he would help them.

What's your point?

Is Artest an improvement over what the Bucks have ? yes.

all star athletes are head cases, so why should Artest be any different? is Artest really any different than Sheffield, Moss, TO or Chad johnson? Artest demands love and attention. Would he be a distraction? it all depends on what is meant by a distraction. yes, he would speak his mind , and yes he would talk a lot to the media. perhaps the Bucks need more outspoken personalities. Artest doesn't lie, and what he says comes from his heart.

as for his play-off record, it's kind of hard to win a play-off series whe n you are the kings and you have a choice of the Suns, Spurs and mavs to play against in the first round.

I wouldn't trade Redd for Artest because their salries wouldn't match. I'd gladly trade Mo or Simmons for Artest. I'd gladly trade Mo and Simmons for bibby and Artest. Bibby, redd and Artest would make a very nice front court to go with Bogut and YI.

A big question is would Artest stay in Milwaukee after this year? NO. very doubtful. he's already said he wants to play in NYC . Nothing the Bucks would offer would be enough for him to stay. he's just not much of a small town type of guy.

I'd like to see Artest as a Buck, but i know it's not going to happen. it makes too much sense. the Bucks don't like outspoken peronalities. they like oat meal.
