Showcasing CV, Bell and Gadzuric?

This is the only logical explanation I have right now for the fact I've watched LK match Charlie Bell up against Rudy Gay and Hakim Warrick on the Grizz and Josh Howard and Dirk Nowitzki (on switches).
It makes absolutely no sense to continue starting Charlie Bell in these matchups. His offense has absolutely suffered as well since he's so outmatched on defensive assignments.
Also, I have no explanation for why Gadzuric is getting minutes over Jake Voskuhl. Gadz is horrible. He should not be allowed to touch the basketball. He made a slip and then pass to Bogut last night that was probably his smartest play since he's come into the league. He should not be posting up, he should not be throwing up turn around jumpers or jump hooks. The guy has no idea how to play within himself.
I think that we are still likely to see a package of some sort of combination of CV/Bell/Gadz/Simmons being dealt.
Yi's injury came at a funny time as well, perfect time to get a CV showcase going on.

I agree to a certain degree, although the past couple of games you have to look at injuries and say that is why Bell played more.
I also have no confidence that Coach knows how what rotations he wants yet so Bell guarding bigger guys may be more intentional than intentional.
It is curious to see Gadz get minutes over Jake though. Not sure what changed recently but I think you may be on to something there.

I'd point out that I've seen Charlie Bell now the last three years take on plenty of big forwards......it is not a new occurence. We can even ask Bell to comment on this. He can list out all the guys he's had to guard that are much bigger than him. He has to do this because he's the best defender we have.
In regards to the other guys getting minutes for a showcase, I'm sure there is something to that. But I've also seen a few Bucks teams over the years where the locker-room and losing imploded the team and next thing you know, every starter gets some piddly injury and decides to "sit out a few games as a precaution" when in reality they just don't want to play.
We can all recall the mess in 2001-02 with the "injuries" in the second half of the year when Karl was squabbling with everyone....
And I remember the spring of 1998 when Tyrone Hill, Brandon, Big Dog all really just didn't want to finish out the season, so they were "injured"
And of course last year we had the blatant tank job......

Meh, I'd prefer Mason covering 3s. But if all we're going to do is zone up then I suppose it doesn't matter as much.

Yeah, but it makes no sense at all to have Charlie Bell out there when Mason is available. It pisses me off to no end, when I see us switch and then it's Bell on Hakim Warrick or yesterday we had Bell on Dirk. You can't convince this is a good idea in any way

I am starting to think this about Michael Redd's "injury"

Me thought so too.
Could be they are showcasing one or another player, but I thought the twin towers didn't look so bad last night.

i agree with you east but I don't get the Gadzuric bashing on this threads sure he's not great but he has done some good things for this team in the last....you guys have the worse memory as fans....you only look at the negatives and want to bash the guy....just like with Noel...

i loved Gadz's turn around, fade away jumper last night that hit 14 inches above the rim and bounced off the backboard aimlessly.

Gadz's touch pass to Bogut for a dunk was a terrific play. I also thought he played well last night.

do you also love bogut's fadeaway jumpers with plenty of time left on the shotclock?
point being, everyone on the team takes bad shots at times, why ignore some and hate on others?

Playing with Bogut there was no concern that he might actually get any post touches, which makes him infinitely less frustrating to watch. Guys should be fined for giving him the ball in the post.

With Gadz it seems he has the mentality that he has to shoot whenever he gets a chance because he's only going to see limited minutes. That frustrates me to no end. Plus some of his misses are so comical that they're memorable. Right now I'm thinking wistfully of that 10-footer that got nothing but backboard in Memphis.
I cringe when Bogut shoots jumpers, too, but at least Bogut's one of our main guys. He has a little more artistic license to freelance IMO. Gadz should take a cue from Ruffin and realize that LK didn't put him in the game to shoot jumpers unless the shot-clock is at zero (though I wouldn't hesitate to say Gadz is offensively more talented than Ruffin).

Ruben Patterson is still out there sitting at home, i dont care if he brings "bad locker room vibe" or whatever, not like things r going smoothly anyway, he adds the toughness and defense we are so desperatly seeking.

When are we going to come to grips that WE WON'T BE MAKING ANY MOVES BEFORE THE DEADLINE.
We need to face it, nobody wants our crap and we are stuck with this team for at least the rest of the season.
These guys are getting minutes because we suck. Period. Nothing more and nothing less.

I'm watching the game replay on FSN right now and it just happened. I loved how he only had to go straight up but he dribbled, faded hit the top of the square and it missed the rim by 2 feet.
Gadz did play a good game overall though.

I bash him because he is unable to play "within himself"
He should not be taking jumpers, post turnarounds or hooks. Ever.
Sure you can say "all guys take bad shots"....but in reality, anything outside of a dunk is a bad shot for Gadz.
I prefer Voskuhl because he knows his role, can stick to the game plan, and provides more IQ on the floor.

You also have a lot of players who fake injuries who do not want to be traded so they play like they are hurt so you can't move them becasuse they are damaged goods...
It works both ways. I need to see a deal to Sacramento for Ron Artest and Garcia right now...

3 reasons.
1. Gadz sucks.
2. Bogut doesn't.
3. If we are going to "hate on" everything worthy of being "hated on" with these Bucks we'd be posting novels. So we just stick with the most worthy of being "hated on".
I fear that Gadz couldn't get minutes in the NBADL if we were able to send him down.

I don't know if any showcasing is going on or not. Somehow I doubt it. Our prime trade candidates imo are Mo and CV. Everyone is quite familiar with these guys and in CV's case we don't really need to showcase him. I sure hope we are not attempting to showcase Gadz as that will surely backfire. What we need to do is show his PER40 stats from a couple of years ago and try and trick someone into believing he's of value.

Showcasing Gadzuric is like showcasing the world's fattest woman. It's horrible, painful, brutal, yet so amazingly bad you just can't turn away.
Gadzuric's trade value goes down when he's on the court, and he already has negative trade value.
