Yi's revenue to the NBA & Bucks?

Does anyone know, I'm just curious, the amount and/or affect on sales revenue that Yi is having on both the NBA and the Bucks? Can it be segregated out and is this type of financial information public? I'm assuming "No" on all accounts, but I bring it up because if the income generated by Yi is substantial, would it make the franchise more attractive to be sold, at least until his rookie contract is up.

We heard so much about this when Yi was drafted and eventually signed that I'm just curious if any of you "insiders" have seen or noticed any changes within the organization as a result of Yi's income stream to the organization........

I know that everyone is cashing in on Houstons Yao MIng.
But they are a successful franchise. We are a lottery team

They need to bring in a personal coach for Yi to develope.
Yao was trained by Hakeem the dream over the summer, you see the drastic improvements. !!!

I agree Yi should have a personal coach. They talked about a personal coach for Bargnani and, I don't know if they finally did, but Bargnani has improved his production a lot in the past weeks.

Statistically he was slightly better last year. But he was already an MVP-caliber guy, so it's not like he had much room to improve either way. Besides, wasn't Yao hurt or doing marriage stuff for half the summer?

I think Yao only had a couple sessions with Hakeem over the summer, but he was already a top center when Hakeem worked out with him. Ewing was his real mentor, he helped Yao on and off the court, and now is doing the same for D. Howard, who is having a breakout year. Both Yi and CV would benefit from personal coaches. They are better then they've shown.

Yi needs a player coach/mentor AND a young attractive female translator.

CV just needs a motivational coach.

Yao and Hakeem's trainning sessions were more likely a marketing thingy. Ewing helped Yao big time, but the real man behind is Thebodeau, this french guy really turned Yao into a low post machine.

Thats why I always wanted Thebodeau to coach Bogut, he will make Bogut so much better than he is now.

Statistically he was way better last year, despite of injury, he was still top 5 MVP candidate. He averaged 25pts in only 32minutes, Yao also leads PER48M last season.

none of these responses is anything close to the question being asked.

let's try to ask the question again - how much revenue Yi producing for the bucks and the NBA? how much of all this NBA marketing to China do the bucks actually realize and receive? the hats, jerseys, pay per view etc.. how much is the buck's cut if anything? Do the Bucks get a bigger cut? or an equal share?

the question could care less about yao or how he plays. it's about money! Do the bucks get any of it ? or is it all going to the NBA and every team benefits? if every team gets an equal share of all the revenue Yi is generating in China, then I wouldn't be opposed to trading YI for some other potential star or a proven quality veteran. If, o n the other hand, the Bucks get 50-100 % of all the revenue Yi generates in China, then he's a great guy to have around even if CV starts.

forget all these responses about how yao has a personal trainer and has improved. This is a dollars question - not an on the court one.

What is Tony Robbins doing these days? If he couldn't motivate CV, no one could.

As far as revenue goes. Those numbers are pretty hard to find unless some insider reporter gets to interview the parties involved to find out the positive changes in revenue streams. Is he making the Bucks extra money? Sure but unless its reported publicly, we will never know how much of an effect he has on our team or the NBA in general since it is a privately held organization that does not have to report all the details of their changing revenue streams, profits, etc.

you guys notice the scorers table ads that were in chinese by the same company at the memphis and dallas games? Kinda cool.. even tho he didnt play so all of China might have turned the game off.

the Bucks only see the money on him
not his skill or supportive to the team
I don't think Milwaukee is suitable for Yi
