I think the Bucks really missed the boat on this kid in the 2006 Draft. He went 49th, we selected Noel 39th.

Powe had an NBA ready body, put up great college numbers, and played the game fierce. His major question was his injury, but I think he would have been a nice gamble.

Every time I've watched him play he's played aggressive and played well.

At least we have Noel though.

If I remember correctly he was once considered a definite first rounder but his stock dropped tremendously because he had something like 2 major knee surgeries or something, right? Could be wrong about his injuries but I do remember many teams sort of backing off of him because they feared he couldn't hold up physically to the rigors of the NBA.

The second round is always a crap shoot. We picked noel 39th, after that there are 4 people contributing this year to teams that were picked.

Daniel Gibson
Paul Milsap
Leon Powe
Ryan Hollins

Either of these 4 would have a solid role with this team and each help in different ways

This is correct. He was still the guy that I was pushing for though. It would have been buying low.

Anyway, it doesn't hurt that he's playing next to great players. Dwayne Jones gets burn in Cleveland and Lebron allows him to look somewhat competent.
