Great effort by Marquette today, but a great effort is not enough. If Blackledge would have caught that pass and slammed it home, it may have been a whole different story...Bottom line MU is NIT bound if they don't sweep this upcoming week: at Seton Hall, and home at Pitt on Friday, just my opinion

i always enjoy watching MU lose...something about Tom Crean missing Dwyane Wade that makes me happy...how many NCAA tourny games has he won without Wade now?

NIT bound if they don't sweep? There's way too much time remaining in this season to make that claim, lots of games left (7 in conf to be exact) and that's not counting the BE tournament. Hell, Marquette only has to beat Georgetown and win 1 other minor game (Seton, St. John's, Rutgers, take your pick) and they're in the tournament no problem IMO (9-10 seed in that scenario). RPI of 30, with wins over ND & @Wisky (speaks for itself) with 7 games and the tournament to go, not time to hit the panic button. Now if they lose all their cup-cake conference games up until Villanova, then that's a different story because it would obviously indicate that Marquette will fail to make the Big East tournament. If Marquette gets to the BE tournament, they're in good shape.

1, 2,...0
Probably the most overpaid coach in college basketball, unless he is doing the AD work at the moment, which could potentially justify his high salary. I'm not up to speed on their AD situation, not sure if they found a replacement.

I agree they should be in. They could easily sweep the next 4, and pull out a tough one against Florida Gulf Coast, with a tough nailbiter loss to g'town. I don't want to believe it, but I do think Crean is looking for a dream job ever since d wade left....a snake like nick saban

Same here, I can't stand Crean.

I find Luke Harangody hilarious. Though I'm at an absolute loss as to how he's such a good college player.

I 3rd that notion. Overpaid and overhyped. Wade made him what he is. Just think about it. If he never had Wade they don't even sniff the Final Four, and that one appearance is the only reason he still has a job. 0 tourney wins since then.
And does he make the guys on the bench stand up and cheer after every basket? The do it more than any other team. They're like a 2nd set of cheerleaders.

Yea, he just looks goofy. He's pretty skilled in the low post, and he had a pretty solid offer list coming out of high school - Indiana, Purdue, Ohio State along with ND.
