MBBOWT's Last Post...'A End to an Era in Forum Fandom?'

Post#1 » by MilBucksBackOnTop06 » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:56 am

I have had it misrepresenting this team with win centric usernames in my support of this team...

This team is not a team BackOnTheWinTrack...nor can you rightfully say they are a team who Playin2Win, nor are the MilBucksBackOnTop of the NBA landscap in 06 in any way shape or form...or any year in the future.

I am sick and tired of looking like a fool and taking the heat for this team and trying to explain why they cannot be successful. It is the same song and dance...

The harder and more devoted you are they harder you are kicked in the teeth and slapped in the face by utterly senseless execution in all facets of the game which has led to losses.

I asked many of you if you remember at the start of this year to come up with an acceptable replacement name for my alter ego and gimmick here, but I did not find an adequate replacement name out of the many who have responded I felt comfortable with to best describe the nature of my Bucks' fanhood.

But this is my last post in here under this erroneous and bogus name that I used as my Bucks battle cry for many years and posts...

If they team does not want to play to win for us, I am not gonna post to represent them in a positive light either. The 40th year anniversary and you would think we would show some pride around here.

Lets face it. We and our team are not back on top nor, will we be back on the winning track with the ineptness like I saw tonite vs the Knicks or all teams.

So this moniker and name is done.

You are phantom GM's unsurping GM Larry Harris and too many talking and throwing their two cents in the ring, how can you run a successful team like that?

Enough crying...goodbye.

I might move on to the Portland board or the Atlanta board or come back in as someone else here. I won't bandwagon but from now on it goes both ways.

My fanhood will be used on a team that is about winning and about success and is fan friendly...before it is dollar, or politically run.

But I will pose as a fan, not neccesarily a Bucks' fan with any confidence that they can win the way this team is constructed and befitting me as a fan.

Thanks MickeyDavis and PaulPressey...you two gentlemen run one of the finest boards on here...

I am not just saying that. I say what I mean and mean what I say...you do. You all have put up with a lot of my shennanigans a tomfoolery but I had fun posting here.

I will return if welcomed to a more subtle and less volitile poster perhaps I don't know yet.

So begins the debate, is MBBOT Larry Harris, or Michael Redd?

You are a brave man, taking the heat for this team. What does the W stand for?

I really can't blame him.....I'm planning on doing a Survivor TV show fallen comrades post here in the next few days.......

Herb, Larry, Ron Walter, Krysko......They've combined to let this team go down the crapper here the last two years.....

We think each loss can't get worse, but it does......and while this years draft has some great prospects, it doesn't have the Oden or LeBron type prize.....

We are the Clippers East......

It's okay...I'm Dexter. Pray to God you've never done anything wrong in your life

EDIT: We should all take on TV show personalities. It might make this board entertaining again.

We've had "farewell" posts before (although I don't know why anyone would think anyone else would care). 8)

Keep the faith MBBOT, maybe Herb won't last as long as Al Davis has?

What a hoops weekend for Wisconsin official season is over losss for the Bucks and the Badgers and Marquette go down the tubes. When do pitchers and catchers report?

There are very, very few individuals the world really needs to stay in their place. While we may or may not be appreciated, most of us are eminently replaceable.

As farewell posts go, this one is pretty moderate. Even includes a tease about returning under a new name.

I've enjoyed having MBBOW here. Some of the posts I've read slowly and thoughtfully. Others (the ones that fly like from an automatic weapon) I've skipped.

At times, MBBOW has seemed like a rabble rouser without a rabble to rouse. At others, he strikes me as a case study in the passion hoops can support.

Good luck in whatever incarnation you pursue.

I don't think he's leaving....he's just noting the team doesn't deserve his encouraging screen names.....

I'd have some suggestions:

Weneedanewteampresident08

Kohldoesn'tknowtalent08

Blowitupbeforeallstarbreak08

LarryKisovermatched08

Godhelpusinthelottothistime08

MBBOT...do you like any of those? Should we put those up to a vote? MD can then have your screen name changed for you.

It's a sad day in Bucks fandom as the end of an era is upon us...

Let it be known far and wide that your positive attributes always brought some entertaining moments as well as thought provoking hysteria...

Looking forward to better times down the road...

I know MBBOT likes to have a representation of time at the end of his user name, but that means his name will get outdated unless he uses a representation of time that will never be outdated...

I'm grateful that GAD has brought the name Ron Walter to the forefront....to the point even Bill Michaels is mentioning the name.

..I'm now using him in virtually every post here where management gets critiqued. If Larry Harris walks the plank, Ron Walter needs to go with him.

Not sure why you auto-dislike him.

But it's true - this franchise has been stagnant, our coaches have gotten progressively worse, and our actual talent is being wasted away in favor of the possibility of ultimately meaningless wins. What's to like?
