Survivor Tribute (Fallen RealGM Bucks Posters)

Post#1 » by paulpressey25 » Sun Feb 10, 2008 4:33 pm

After seeing MBBOT's post, it made me think about all the posters we've continued to lose here the last two years......

The Four Horseman of the Apocalypse (Herb Kohl, Ron Walter, Larry Harris and Larry K.) seem to have put the finishing touches on this franchise's death here the last 12-24 months......

I'm still planning on going down with the ship. Consider me the guy on the Titantic deck playing with the band.

But here are a few big time regulars that seem to be off in the lifeboats and gone over the horizon. Feel free to add your own.

PeteXMaravich
Isocleas2
Dank.King
Healer420 (yeah, I know he got waived but he gave up MJS as well)
BrewCityBuck
WadeAHolic
N8Frog
Intuition
Wise1
Vlietinho (The Dutch realize Gadz is no longer in the NBA)
BuckPack
Badger-in-Exile
Cougar33/Eagle13 (even he's tired of his Redd trade threads)
Simulack (seems in exile until a big trade is made)
Steger3434 (see Simulack)
Buckfan2526

After attending last nights game, I can say with confidence we've officially entered the Elroy Hirsch/Don Morton era of Milwaukee Bucks basketball......

Completly off topic, but I've been meaning to tell you great Avatar. Make Yourself is a truly brilliant album and is still in heavy rotation by me, even though the album is nearly a decade old.

Back on topic, it does seem like our play is starting to turn even some of the die-hard fans away. I know I'm not as focused as I usually am. Usually it's pretty rare if I miss a Bucks game, especially when there is only one during the weekend. But last night I never considered watching the game and instead recommended watching a movie with my wife. When I saw the score and the lead we blew, I was very happy with my choice.

I log on almost every day with the hopes of seeing a "So and So traded to wherever". Yet all I continue to see is stupid trade ideas.

I will still continue to go to every game and cheer for the Bucks. But after last night, losing to the **** Knicks on our home **** floor has put me to a boiling point.

HEY, LET'S PUT MICHAEL RUFFIN, PROBABLY THE WORST OFFENSIVE PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA ON THE FLOOR WHEN YOU'RE DOWN 1 WITH 5 SECONDS TO GO! OH WAIT, IT GETS BETTER, HE ENDS UP WITH THE BALL AND ENDS UP TAKING THE FINAL SHOT. ONLY TO SHOT PUT THE BASKETBALL OFF THE BACKBOARD!!!

THAT A BOY, LARRY K! :upset:

I miss the Dutch guys, they always made me laugh with their Gadz love and mass excitement every time he did anything remotely decent, but they did it all tongue in cheek unlike alot of us Aussies or the Asian posters.

Haha, that was Buck4Life or something. He was the huge Bengals fan. I thought he changed his name though.

Like Bucksfan I frequent this site at least once a day, but my enthusiasm for this team is at an all time low. I'll tune in to every Bucks game because i'm additcted to it like heroine, but after a quarter I'll realize like heroine this is bad for me and find something else.

I don't get mad when the lose, I don't get excited when they win. That state of mind is probably the worst state you can have for fans of a team. Nothing about the team excites me. The future doesn't look great and the present looks down right horrible. Thank god for this board otherwise I might have given up on this team a long time ago.

A big trade will peak my interests, but unless it's a trade that makes us significantly better that interest will wane very fast.

Come over for the next away game, or I can go to your place. We can be depressed together.
