I'm surprised it's only that much actually.

The reason its not down as much is because of all the deals they have run both now and prior to this in the off-season.

The buy one get one free lower level season ticket packages. 27$ upper deck seats for 10$ with season tickets. And the list goes on. Last season they did not start running deals like this until the end of the season but this year they did it from the start. I promise you if they did not run all these dirt cheap deals that attendence would be down 20% or more.

This is really the only way to force Kohl to make a major move. Seeing this team bleed more money is hardly the outcome he wants from another season.

It's also another reason why continuing to bank on the lottery is such a highly risky proposition. More losing seasons could flush this team right into the toilet permanently or, at worst, move it out of town.
Nothing will not break me.

Those numbers are actual tickets sold. The number of no-shows is skyrocketing. Last year in March and April it was a ghost town at the BC. This year it could be even worse.

It will be interesting if this "blog" entry actually makes the paper tomorrow or if Howard buries it.

Yeah, I wish they'd count attendance as tickets taken and not tickets sold. Or just count both of them.

I wonder how much the ratings have plummeted from last season.

Right. I had tickets to last night's game. Good ones. But there was no way I was driving in from Madison to see this crap team.

I didn't start doing that last season until at least March.
